Sand tan military flat was my go to for *air filters. Combine that with Ace's recommended wash and you will probably have a winner. * I grew up where the majority of roads were gravel and dirt.

You don't see these everyday and you've got a great start. The old Heller kits - I built a lot of those over the years. The "Polik" is one of my most favorite Russian planes of that era. This will be a fun one to watch! I still have one of my old builds of this plane in my collection except it was a vacu-form kit.

Picked up another kit I missed out on my youth. Yes I am aware of the body being a Charger 500 and other discrepancies, - I purchased it because it is unbuilt, and for the "box art" and it was affordable. Although I need to build a "General Lee" as my lovely wife bought this set of figures for me for Christmas!

A buddy of mine bought 7 houses in Ajo AZ when "Phelps Dodge" pulled out. I went down there once and was amazed that everyone's hot water heater was outside of the house. That would never work anyplace Ive lived.

The 1/1 front of the Cuda roof looks like the back of a Hearse. The model looks more like something that would come from the factory, nicely done!

Ive only seen decals silver like that when put over a flat, or semi gloss finish and sometimes a very rough pebbly gloss finish. If none of those were the cause contact Slixx as they are great people.

Its only "negative eleven" here this morning, they were calling for colder. My wife even made french toast this morning to pay homage to all the grocery store shoppers buying bread, milk and eggs. 👍

Rick , a common trend on ebay lately is for some sucky sellers to print a shipping label for an item, then copy that shipping label and add a different address. They do this multiple times to get more money in their pocket. The USPS knows of this scam but are trying to figure out how to counter it. Ive had items show they were delivered in other states according to the tracking number then it shows up to my PO box.

@89AKurt - now that is a pretty impressive collection. I never did flight logs, honestly doing such a thing ever crossed my mind, sure wish I had though. I have a hard time picking my favorite - a four engine Saturn 1B is pretty impressive , but as much as I wasnt a fan of the Blue Flame as a kid , I really like that one and cant wait to see it done. ( He broke Craig Breedlove's, record, childhood hero and I have been scorned since haha) I would like to see a drawing of the triple rocket holder as that is one of the best displays Ive ever seen. Your photography of inflight is really something. Did you by chance attend NARAM 2018 held at Pueblo Colo? My wife and I loaded up a truck load of totes and went as vendors. It was a great time camped out on that sandy ranch. My truck still has dust and sand in it. Thank you for posting all those and the back storys

I have seen guys tint aircraft canopies with "future floor polish" (or whatever its called now) with a very light amount of food coloring mixed in. They would dip them and then wick away the extra with a paper towel so it didn't pool up at the bottom. If you got some tire burnt, cracked or extra windshields - I'd experiment with that.

Leggo's - they are not just for cussing when you step on them in the dark. They are useful for many things around the modeling bench. No kids ? Check the heater vents, second hand stores ect.

Simply awesome, very interesting back story. The background really makes it stand out ! Tractors are pretty cool now that I don't have to spend hours upon them as when I was a kid. Although that's where I learned to drive.

Nice Cuda - love the extra details like the paint marks and the red battery caps. What paint did you use for the steering wheel and pistol grip ? That is a perfect match to my eyes ..

Here is a pic of the factory upholstery in that Cuda , I kept it as is (to hang on the wall) for a conversation piece.

The rolling chassis looks awesome and I really like the gray engine along with the history that's been added. On the tires - I'm probably the only person that liked the old two piece kit ones. I use to buy junker kits and parts just for them. If I did use soft ones I stuffed them with pieces of tissue paper , paper towels or whatever I could find to fill them out.

Sam sorry to disappoint you - I have a Super Bee model that came with two sets of hubcaps and other vacuform and resin parts. The darn dogdish looking hubcaps have "chevy bowties" in the center. Not why they were in with this other than maybe a mix up by previous owner. Edit - The revell 1/24 1979 Plymouth Roadrunner kit has these hubcaps, they are about 7mm across and 1mm in depth

Russell my old friend - 89AKurt is the one who teased me with his pictures of "ballistic missiles" down in The Off Topic area. I was quite happy to see another person with the passion of model rockets, so I knew there had to be more of us.

I'm pretty sure I have some, might even be resin. I cant access them till tomorrow, but I will take a look.
