Check your local mechanic/ body shop, as far as I know uniform services have not gone to plastic hangers.

Another Randy Ayers refugee....

Love the super mod - it just has such eye appeal, nicely done ! Also I'm a fan of the old Aurora Monsters and many reissues of same characters. I like what you did with the base and the addition of a rope belt. Oh yes , welcome back to the forum ! -
There needs to be like a "Holy Shat" emoji for stuff like that. Any history on the fed ex accident? Here in Montana you always know who the truck is that spun out, twisted up, jack knifed or anything else stupid on snowy hills or mountains = Fed Ex every time ! And people think Swift drivers are bad...

The Vega turned out great, nice work on the front spoiler also. The Impala has held up well π

Dave I had model kits go to a USPS Puerto Rico mail sorting facility before. Least your went out west to to experience the dry snow. π I almost with they would stamp the locations packages travel like the old steamer trunks use to have. -
I am very impressed with the structures - I think I seen that mountainside coal in a Railroad Model Craftsman magazine, that I bet I still have in storage. It would be nice to see you get them finished even if its just a shelf layout. Model RR'n was my main hobby for decades. There is a MRR swap meet in Spokane WA in March that my wife and I plan on attending if the weather cooperates.

Mike I love the coaling tower and roundhouse ! Looks like you had a really nice layout - was it a standard 4x8 size of the times or did you do different. Those cars are so awesome - I wasnt smart enough to keep the few decal types I stumbled upon - they went on my notebook cover.

Brian that is just stunning, reminds me of an add right out of "Owner Operator" magazine. I can only echo what everyone else has said about the graphics and engine. -
Another Example of Ineptitude by the USPS

The previous area I lived here in Montana only delivered mail twice a week. Monday and Friday, didn't matter which day - the bills would still show up. -
Ive been on a mission lately buying older Monogram kits as well as the others that were made in USA. This new chi'na plastic reminds me of trying to model a five gallon bucket crossed with a rubbermaid trashcan. I wonder how this new plastic will hold up in 50 years like the real plastic models have.

Brad that's a great tip, Ive used that tape for headliners before. It behaved well with enamel airbrush paint over it and has been still stuck after a decade.

Very nice buildups on two Iconic cars. Thanks for the tip on sourcing the 5 hole slots. Who made the decals? -

Very cool and that is a lot of parts you had to assemble. π -
Sand tan military flat was my go to for *air filters. Combine that with Ace's recommended wash and you will probably have a winner. * I grew up where the majority of roads were gravel and dirt.

You don't see these everyday and you've got a great start. The old Heller kits - I built a lot of those over the years. The "Polik" is one of my most favorite Russian planes of that era. This will be a fun one to watch! I still have one of my old builds of this plane in my collection except it was a vacu-form kit.

Picked up another kit I missed out on my youth. Yes I am aware of the body being a Charger 500 and other discrepancies, - I purchased it because it is unbuilt, and for the "box art" and it was affordable. Although I need to build a "General Lee" as my lovely wife bought this set of figures for me for Christmas!

A buddy of mine bought 7 houses in Ajo AZ when "Phelps Dodge" pulled out. I went down there once and was amazed that everyone's hot water heater was outside of the house. That would never work anyplace Ive lived.

The 1/1 front of the Cuda roof looks like the back of a Hearse. The model looks more like something that would come from the factory, nicely done!

Ive only seen decals silver like that when put over a flat, or semi gloss finish and sometimes a very rough pebbly gloss finish. If none of those were the cause contact Slixx as they are great people.

Its only "negative eleven" here this morning, they were calling for colder. My wife even made french toast this morning to pay homage to all the grocery store shoppers buying bread, milk and eggs. π
