  1. Thanks Thanks Oliver, I really like your version as well.
  2. Hi Dennis, Thanks for the comments. I love your work so for you to comment on mine it’s appreciated Thanks so much Thanks I’m glad you like it Thanks Phil, Hoping you can see it in person at Gord’s if all goes well Thanks so much Thanks Roger. Maybe you should try one and it may become a favourite
  3. Thanks much Hi Bob, Thanks for the comment. Hey Claude, Thanks for the comment. Thankfully like I said it was built pretty cleanly before but long enough ago the glue was brittle and didn't make a mess! Thanks Hey Tim, Glad you like it. As for colors the blue is called intermediat blue from Mr Color and the red was a custom mix from an auto paint store. I wanted an oxblood type color and have used it a few times on builds Thanks very much appreciate the comment
  4. Hi All, Calling this one done! Although all during the build phase there are always some gremlins show up in final assembly. I started with a pretty nice built up that was disassembled cleanly and then incorporated the Smoothster chassis and drive train. The two main mods were firewall, interior floor and the running boards under the covers had to be cut out for clearance. I noticed a bit of a trend using military type paint colours so that’s what I tried with this build. Lastly I used a staggered set of Pegasus wheels and tires. Thanks for looking
  5. Hey Tom. Real nice start! I assume this is the car your trying to replicate? You beat me to it!

    32 Ford's

Hi Bernard, thanks for the interest. The wire wheels are indeed machined with photo etch spokes but I can’t remember who buy as for the highboy they are the kit wheels but with dullcote sprayed over the chrome. As for the green highboy it is a replica of Sid Chavers ride. The Duvall is indeed from the phantom Vickie and the up top is heavily modified from the same kit. Russ

    32 Ford's

Just found this thread. Heres my contributions
  8. Looks real nice Phil! If the gathering at Gord's happens there will be lots of models to show off maybe even have to bring out the flashlights to make sure we see them all:)
  9. Small update. A mock up of colour combo, just to make sure I like it.
  10. So a little update. Thanks for all comments. R&M replicas Cadillac taillights frenched into stock position. Redo of interior floor pan to accommodate larger trans and engine assembled into chassis. next should be primer stage!
  11. Hey fellow modellers, This is my first works in progress and hoping that by posting it makes me finish this kit. It is the stock 37 body and fenders but the twist is I’m using the Boyd Smoothster chassis and running gear. It is also going to dressed in Pegasus wheels and tires to fill wheel wells better! As for colour it will be inspired by the Impala in the pics, so grey body black roof with red interior. Thanks for looking.
  12. Well Done Phil! Glad you got the finish you were after. Car looks great! Look forward to seeing in person hopefully soon
  13. Great work so far Nigel. I have the Tamiya version of this kit to do and after I saw the car in Safari Gold decision made for me. Keep up the good work, Russ
  14. Hey Scott, Thanks for the comment. Yes, those cars were made in resin with a couple of different liveries . I have both but yet to build.... one day! Russ
  15. WOW Phil! love it, really like the way your paint turned out. Always love your attention to the subjects you build. Russ
  16. Nice job Tom! Really like those wire wheels. Sure wish the base kit for your build was still available from Revell.
  17. Looking great Steve! Can’t wait to see it finished.
  18. Great job Bruce! I have built a lot of race car kits and I to enjoy the decal process the best. Main thing I’ve learned when applying is patience, patience, patience! Russ
  19. Thanks Steve, R&M stuff is top notch Thanks for liking Thanks Phil, took a long time but happy I percervered. Thanks for the nice words. Thanks, those are the areas I wanted to focus on. Glad you liked Thanks for the nice words and I also wish for it to issued again as lots more ideas in my head:)
  20. Great job Luke! Wish I could get a black paint job looking that good. Do you use the can or airbrush and how many coats do you use?
  21. Thanks all for the comments. Like I said it was good to push myself to try new things.
  22. Hi Rastislav, Thanks for looking. The belts are included as well as multiple pulley options in the Replicas and miniatures S.C.O.T blower kit. Highly recommended. Thanks for the comments Tim. I also knew I would want to build more than one of these so I have more:)
  23. Quick build of a 1/43 kit from Provence Moulage. Was going to paint fluorescent green rather than decal but ended up using kit decals. These kits are fun and fast to build. I like to build one in between 1/25 scale kits.
  24. Finished this one just in time for it to qualify for historic racing! It is a transmit from Scale Productions. The kit is well done and it still is a very striking livery even to this day in my opinion. It is a car I saw race in Portland and although not the best in performance it certainly left a sound impression on me. Although this driver combo wasn’t at that race I wanted to build the Scott Maxwell vCard as he is a fellow Canuck!
  25. Finally finished! For me this was fairly ambitious build with a lot of modifications. I was wanting to build something of a traditional hot rod. The roof is coffee stir sticks cut and sanded to shape roof lines. Then utilizing the R&M quick change rear end with the traditional buggy spring. The flathead is from the 32 sedan with the SCOT blower also from R&M. Colour is my interpretation of Ford Washington blue with blood red interior. I’ve included a pic I loosely built the model of not sure who’s it is but someone on forum may.
