  1. Thanks all for your comments. This was one of thosequick builds that actually worked out!
  2. Really well done Phil! I too have that and many other CART champ cars to do. They really are a fun kit to build. You've made me worry about my decals nowšŸ˜‚ Look forward to seeing it at next meeting. Russ
  3. After a great show of real hot rods I realized I haven’t done many full rendered Deuces. This made me take stock of stuff in my stockpile and decided to use the AMT 32 ford roadster for my build. I know the issues with the look of it being sectioned but I think this worked to my advantage. My goal was for a gentleman/ elegant style Deuce. I used the revell interior , wheels and tires and radius arms. It is a curb side as I soon realized the hemi in kit only works without hood sides šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø The paint is a Ford mustang color mixed up at local auto body shop. Feel free to let me know if description meets results
  4. Thanks for all comments! Just wanted to post a couple of pics post Deuce Day in scale. I was honoured with people’s choice , favourite hot rod and favourite Deuce. I was also able to catch up and show the car to the owners of the real car and they were very interested and took many pics of there own. Very cool for me! I’m not the best with pics but I think theses are little better representation of the real car.
  5. Well I finally finished this model and pretty happy how it turned out. This build started 3 years ago when this car showed up at deuce days. I was smitten with this car right away and as it turns out so was the real car world as it has received multiple awards and media coverage since it's launch at 2022 Deuce Days. I took as many photos as I could including the owner name tag. After the show I googled the owner and we emailed and talked about the car and my intentions of wanting to replicate. He graciously sent some leftover paint and leather sample for me to work with. Some of the unique features of this car are the pines winter grill and the wheels. At the time nothing existed in kit form so off to the 3d print vendors and the grill was produced by Texas 3d customs and the wheels and tires crafted by 3D scale parts, the roof is from Ed at Drag city. The remaining parts were from the re issue of the Stacey David roadster. I'm hoping to meet up with the owners at this year's Deuce Days and see what they think! Thanks for looking
  6. Hi Jeffrey, I do believe that kit is being reissued so if you have some patience you may just be able to contact Revell for a new body once released.
  7. Another idea is Revell made the I beam axles wider in the 29 and 30 model A's and if Iceman used these to model from that would be why.
  8. Man Steve that’s looking real fine! that’s going to be real hard to give up but at least you’ll always be able to make your brother in law is looking after it. If not you can take back and be the caretaker! Russ
  9. Great Job Pierre! I also followed your WIP and loved your surgery to make more accurate. I enjoyed your comment about the factory hiro kits. I have both the early and late versions and after building the Aston Martin DP214 think they will stay unbuilt! Russ
  10. Most Excellent job! A real 1st class job. Love the fabric seat
  11. Hey Steve, Nice Work as always. I too also built my dad a replica of our family car 1969 Olds 442 red on red. It was a fun build and was well received as I know yours will be. Enjoy the process and will be following. Russ
  12. Hello Everyone, I was wondering if there is a resin or 3d printed Ford Powerstroke engine out there. I did "google" and all that I could find is the Meng kit and i'm not paying hundreds of $ for a kit I need the engine out of. Thanks for any help, Russ
  13. Beautiful job Phil! Look forward to seeing it in person. Great representation of original and awesome paint finish Russ
  14. I like this topic as Grant is from the city I live in and a lot of his family is still here. I have this as one of my holy grail kits but cant bring myself to build!
  15. Good Day, Does anyone know if this particular grill was ever made in kit form?
  16. Your right not what I was expecting but a beautiful example of beautiful car well done!
  17. Keep up the good Misha! I’m in the same boat with my 5 window replica for deuce days. Although it’s all painted nothing ever goes together properly when final assembly comes around? Russ
  18. Looks like a great start Misha, If your going to Steve’s on the weekend and your doing a caddy engine I have some cool 3d printed valve covers for you.keep up the good work. Russ
  19. They look good. so what’s the next step and is it better to order a bunch so print table is full let me know
  20. These are going to be used on the revell parts pack Cadillac 354ci engine. dimensions in mm are 21mm in length, 5 mm in width and 3mm in height. let me know if you need more info thanks
  21. Hi Doug, I sent you a PM
  22. Hi All, Not sure if this is best area for this but I’m hoping someone in this community can help with my search. I need some parts that are not available in current kit form for some reason. They are the stylized Cadillac script valve covers like shown. They are for 1/24 scale. Any help is appreciated, Russ
  23. Nice Job on what is a difficult kit! I really like the outcome of the color. I think I might use that idea of smoke over the color. A fellow modeler used it over chrome with really good results.
  24. Well Done Helmut, I did the same thing to mine. It was an old build with lots of orange peel in paint and finally took it all apart and went a little more custom but vibe is same.

    Porsche GT3R

Well after a long hiatus of not doing a race car I jumped into this one! I normally enjoy recalling but felt a little rusty with this one and ended up with more wrinkles than I wanted. This kit goes together very well and it has the scale Motorsport flying lizards lemans entry fro 2007…almost a historic car now haha. I wasn’t going to post but I’ve not seen one of these built with the decals and hoping it might inspire someone to build theirs I also added the scale productions wheels and tires that are on the real car
