  1. Hey Joe..... this a great start on this build. I will be following it for sure. look forward to more progress pics of it.
  2. Brad.... this is just awesome man!! you have some skills buddy. I look forward to seeing more on this for sure!
  3. John looking great. I can't wait to see that paint on the body. I know its going to be gorgeous.
  4. Bart thanks man!!! yeah I will have to admit that I have quite a bit of money wrapped up in this build so far between the kit, turned aluminum parts, photo-etch parts, nuts & bolts (from Scale Hardware), Fittings (From RB Motion). And I am not even done with getting parts for it...lol I have a spread sheet that I have made with everything that I am using so far and when I get more stuff that will go into it. I know that I will be very happy with the end results on this build.
  5. Bart... thank you for explaining how you did it. The work is very nice and taking notes for my planned pro mod build. trying to find the best way to do hinges for it. Very nice work with the styrene. So I am assuming that with the piano wire you are using epoxy to glue the 90 degree bent rod into the styrene chassis??
  6. Randy... you have done some awesome work on that rear end man! It is looking great and so is this build! Very Nice!
  7. I was able to sit down for a few and tinker on this build for a short time tonight. Didn't get too much done but did get to test fit the headers to the heads and insterted the bolts to see how it all fit together. Then I started cutting the bolt heads and drilling holes for the new bolts going into my new resin engine. Here are a few pics..... Mocked the headers up to the heads with the bolts: Taped that heads to the block with the headers to see how it looked: Front shot of the headers mocked up: The beginning of the drilling process for the bolt heads in the engine, plus the start of working on the engine:
  8. This is the first time I have seen this thread and man this build is IMPRESSIVE!!! Bill you have some skills and this build is blowing my mind. This is just gorgeous. I will be following this for sure. looking forward to your next update. I am totally blown away at this build.
  9. Bart you are doing some great work man. Those hinges are looking Killer. I do have to ask did you make them out of plastic or brass? Can't wait to see your next progress update. Keep up the great work.
  10. More and more great builds everyone. keep them coming. love this thread Hey Burnout.... do you have any more pics of that fiat and is it 1/16th scale or 1/25th? It looks great

  13. Beautiful work John.... That chassis is looking sharp. Engine is gorgeous too.... I have sone alclad and can't wait to shoot some on my funny car.
  14. Thanks Tyrone!! I need to get these headers mocked up on the heads to see how they look
  15. Brett.... Looking good buddy. I know its nice to take a break from some builds from time to time. I am at that point with my funny car build where I would like to start a curbside build just to finish something but can't quite get myself to break away from the funny car... I look forward to see this come together, its going to be nice.
  16. Charlie.... wow holy smokes those wheels look great. Nice work on them. Love the valve stems you have there. Are the valve stems new parts you sell?? Great work again my friend.
  17. Greg... thanks mate!! I know I have taken this build to the next level in trying to out do myself and improve my skills. I am really glad I did the Jig idea because I had no other way of keeping them identical with out holding them that way. I keep debating if I should smooth the joints out a little more or just leave as is since real headers weld bead isn't smooth per say. Bart... thanks man! I think as much elbow grease as I have put into this bad boys I am ready to work on some other parts of the build at this point.... but still have minor clean up work with them till I am 100% happy with them. Sorry I haven't been able to get to the work bench since monday, I am itching to do some more work on this. So stay tuned
  18. Bart Awesome work on the doors. looking forward to seeing your work on the hindges. I am going to be taking some notes. Love the work you are doing, its turning out fantastic. I have a 1/16 scale Pro Mod build I am somewhat starting to plan for but won't quite get to it until I finish a couple of builds I have going and what I have planned after my 1/16th funny car. I will be using your work as reference.
  19. Tyrone.... Those stripes knock this build out of the park. I think it looks much better with the stripes and it just looks mean. Nice job with adding them. This is just one awesome build. What do you have in store for us next.... Looking forward to it.

  23. Brad... Thank you, yep you sure can put in an order for a set , just be patient becasue I am still waiting to be able to fill my finger tips from all of the work on these.. Charlie... Thanks bud, I can't tell you how happy I am to have the fab work these bad boys just about done. Kind of crazy that I have 31.25 hours into these, but I think with what I have learned from doing these I would be able to do these a little faster next time.... at least I hope
