Glad you're okay but I presume your vehicle was less fortunate.... My wife bagged one years ago coming home on the highway from her night shift at the ER. No time to swerve and put the right front fender into Bambi hind legs. Shaken but fine.

Always had a thing for the odd/unusual subject matter. Picked this up F/S for less than $20 at a local toy store

A local radio statio scrapped all programming and played a tribute to him all day yesterday. Due to overwhelming response, they continued it today.

Today would have been my mom's 85th birthday.....had she taken her blood pressure meds instead of just chucking them in the dresser drawer. It's really a bad subject this year as she would have been around for the birth of her first great grandchild this past November. Everyone in her mom's family lived well into their 90's and dad's family lived into their 90's. She was beyond annoying when I was dating about wanting a grandchild to the point I repeatedly asked her to stop! She eventually did get two grandsons and was good to both of them, but she missed out on a lot because of her actions.

Glen Campbell's last song (I'm not gonna miss you) is a narrative from a person himself who had Alzheimers. Listen to it and it will tell you what you're dad no longer could. It's especially hard when the child becomes the parent. Time for you to decompress...he is at peace.

Thoughts and prayers with you and your family. I lost my father six years ago to this horrible disease after he spent the last two years of his life in a nursing home after he couldn't live alone. The things that come out of their mouth will shock you. Be sure to take care of yourself!! I can look in the mirror today and see how that aged me.

I didn't pay close attention to the box art as the chrome tree in this one has the turbine wheels.

Monthly swap meet.... Monogram Luv Stepside......missing rims but otherwise complete MPC 1978 Camarp.....missing the race car pieces (won't use them anyway). I know the 1981 is being re-released this year, but I like the '78 hoodscoop and fender vents. There was another 1978 Camarp (Savage), but that green its molded in steered me to the white one.

Tire changes about every five laps?

I've been avoiding adding to the stash and seriously looking at thinning out what I know I will never build....until I stumbled on a somewhat local auction for an original Revell Herbie. I kept telling myself 'no' but ended up caving and throwing a one time bid. I surprised to be the high bidder but even moreso when I wasn't sniped. I don't know if these would have been bagged inside but it appears complete and was either carefully restacked after opening or never removed from the box.

Beer keg in the bed..... oil drum..... -
My late Brian was half husky and hated the cold. I would shovel a path off the deck, down the steps and half way down the yard. Unless I went out with him, he would go about half way across the deck, step off the path and 'complete his transaction' being first one back at the door to go in.

Balmy 9 degrees....wind chill negative 5. Wife was sure the hand me down 2003 Durango wouldn't start. Turn the lights on for a few seconds, turn them off and my youngest turned the and the 4.7L roared to life like it was the spring!

My youngest got pulled over by the police last night. He was in a heavy retail area with his girlfriend when he got lit up. He was driving below the limit as his mom took out a deer with the mini van years ago and the road along side the retail is a windy, heavily wooded area. He pulls into the gas station and a second officer (K9) pulls in too. His offense? Dirty license plate. Seriously? My guess was plate readers that some cities/townships have couldn't get a read on it. It did snow off and on all day so there was some slush but there dirt on the plate from being 20 years old. I would have thought they would be more concerned that the exahust system rusted off after the muffler so while not loud, the 4.7L does give a good rumble. I told him he should have offered to let them search the vehicle as the oversized spare takes up most of the hatch. The poor K9 would have had to retire if he smelled the boys golf cleats!

The red and black ones are 1/24. White one is 1/20....ish Another current truck I wish would have come out as a kit

Recent auction win. Both are promos and in good shape except the 300 is missing half of the windshield frame.

Cincinnati (Forest Park) store had the remaining toys tossed (from a distance) onto the tables in their specials section. Only thing left were Mach 5's and the 1/32 Green Hornet

The city's trash contractor just sent out a text message that city wide trash and recycling will be picked up one day later. Thanks for the heads up considering this a.m. is our normal pick up date.

Got a replacement Keurig. After a test run, boxed the old one up, took it outside, squeezed my fatness around the bar cart and opened the bombay doors. Square peg right into a square hole. Dammit....Almost!!! So much for those aptitude tests of years ago. As the teenager laughed, I explained those who can...do. Those who cannot...teach. That's why I coached little league basketball for both of my sons.

Keurig died this a.m. How does it expect me to start my day without caffeine!!

Seven Christmas' ago, I took Brian to see Santa for his first holiday as part of my family. As you know, he passed back in April of liver cancer. This is Riley's first Christmad in her new home. When I adopted her, the shelter bear hugger her to the meet and greet and has zero interest in walks on a leash so I brought my teenager with me as I expected her to be uncooperative. He got her to the sidewalk and I grabbed a shopping cart. Other than refusal to walk in or out of Petsmart, she was great! Well.....until the drive home. I think she thought she was being turned back in again and was so worked up she yacked on the ride home. Not just a little, but more like bachelor party yack!! Glad it was unseasonably warm to detail the back seat.
