  1. Stole a Civic to ram the door? Apparently doesn't watch the news that the Tahoe/Suburban is the vehicle of choice for these types of entries.
  2. After a three or four year hiatus, Greenlights had their open house this year. Grabbed a couple 1/18's
  3. $10 at a toy collectible store. Engine assembled and bed painted.....not sure if complete. I wanted it for the plow and the chassis/drivetrain
  4. Probably overpaid but never seen a Torino promo and the only one on fleaBay was in blue. Small knick on the roof by the A-pillar. Not sure the GTO has seen the light of day since it was made.
  5. The Bronco has landed at Hobby Lobby! (Hit the shelf last night according to the cashier)
  6. Apparently the latest version of Covid is highly contagious as it finally got me.
  7. Anyone tried these? Decent selection of colors. Doesn't say if its acrylic
  8. You have to admire a man that passed at the beginning of a three day weekend for us to mourn and detox before going back to work on Tuesday. Absolutely no disrespect intended or implied! Back when concert tickets were not several days wage, I attended five of his shows through the years....not a bad one in the bunch!
  9. Stumbled across this Indy show earlier in the week on Facebook. GM had me hooked when they talked of importing the Holden Ute but they bailed shortly afterwards and winding down Pontiac all together.
  10. RIP Mayor of Margaritaville! Thank you for the music.....and the books.......and the restaurants! Nothing punishes the toilet like their Volcano Nachos!!
  11. Dayton (DieCast) Toy show.... AMT Garbage truck...F/S $50 AMT Ranger Splash....box beyond rough but appears complete $5
  12. On the six months following my 25th birthday, I tore the miniscus in my knee playing tennis, had to get the wisdom teeth cut out and had to finally get glassed. 30...40...50...55....all been a walk as the body went into the dumper at 25. JImmy Buffett sang of treating his body, not like a temple, but like a tent.....I'm treating mine like a frat house. Enjoy your birthday!!
  13. NIce to see an Ollie's that doesn't look like a post Black Friday sale!
  14. My hometown is having it's annual Taste of {city} in a couple weeks. This years main feature.....food trucks! Either the city leaders missed the point of having a Taste of our city or its time to rename it
  15. We had my teenager in summer baseball and he wanted to develop more pitches so can do more innings. We found a coach that knew him from summer ball and said he would work with him. The wife usually takes him to the complex but I did last week. They had another person coaching a young man on hitting. After his session, that coach came over to watch my son. I guess I shouldn't have pointed out that person was #15 of the Big Red Machine....left fielder George Foster. He told me on the drive home his anxiety level kinda maxed when he came over. Truly one of the nicest people I've ever met....
  16. Sincere condolences to you and your family. I lost two this year just two weeks apart. It hurts even more when you have to make that decision for them even when you know it's what's best for them.
  17. Missed a Cars & Coffee at a local dealership (on a Sunday), but did get a couple pics of a Challenger Drag Pack.....
  18. I didn't need it as I know I have another one in the stash, but for $50 F/S I couldn't say 'no'
  19. I'm two weeks out from having the left knee scoped and was off crutches within a week. Steps are a struggle but considering there was a potential of up to 12 weeks in a brace and crutches, I'll take it. I ended my assistant coaching of baseball and basketball ater tearing the right one for a second time about 18 months ago! I inherited the bad knees from my mom's paternal grandfather. Dr said I'm heading towards replacement on both due to arthritis. I have a brace with the gel donut that holds the knee cap in place which wear for walking distance or standing in one spot for long which helps. Years ago, I worked at Dicks Sporting Goods and one of my co workers was a big beliver in KT Tape. I've never used it but several people that played basketball and volleyball swear by it
  20. Wife was cutting down the honeysuckle not seeing the bald faced hornets nest in the corner of the garage window and got stung three times in rapid succession. She is fine but wasn't going near the garage until it was gone. Called the local exterminator and they couldn't be out for a couple days. Tech called 15 minutes into the four hour window. No PPE, just laid on the ground with a fogger on a long pole and stuck it into the nest. Waited a few minutes and sprayed the one that are now not too happy their home was poisoned. Grabbed a long scrapper on a stick and took down the nest and bagged it up. He said he couldn't charge me $100 for that little job (the nest was about the size of a youth basketall) and only charged me $70! I gave him a $20 tip to grab lunch. The company has about 250 goggle reviews and a 4.9 rating. He said they do better from that than the $5,000 ad they used to do in the phone book!
  21. I've seen their VW Beetle as well as T1....they do build up nicely. Ball park idea on the scale of the Jeep and the Jaguar?
  22. It's a monthly swap meet.....last Saturday of each month. It's in a local antique mall...no admission fee Sponsor: https://www.facebook.com/AtomicCityModelCars
  23. Had my knee scope this a.m. The good news is the Dr took out the piece of the meniscus that was town off and trimmed the meniscus still in place so the healing is six weeks versus twelve weeks (the 12 weeks of recovery was if it was able to be sewn back together). The bad news it makes more likely needing a full knee replacement later in life due to the arthritis in that knee. Ironically, I've torn the meniscus on the inside of the knee of both legs (not the outside of the leg) I don't donate blood as 1) I dont do needles and 2) the veins run deep in my arms so they are difficult to find. The first time i tore the right one, I was half awake and the stuck the IV in the back of my hand. Really bad words in paragraph form. Wasn't expecting it. They intubated me but I must have been the student test monkey as my throat is inflamed. I'm impressed I have about 25% range of motion. Granted it was over 30 years ago but the other knee had a serious 0% range of motion. Fortunately I was dating someone who had multiple knee surgeries and I still hear Amy's word of bending itasmch as you can before you get to therapy or they will bend it for you.
  24. Die hard hockey but enjoy the AHL (one step from the NHL) and ECHL (two steps from the NHL) more so than the NHL so I collect bobbleheads of the NHL'ers of tomorrow. I've always been a fan of the goalies and the paint jobs on their masks.
