Update, sprayed the clear and a small ridge popped out on the roof so waiting for the clear to cure a bit before seeing if it will pollish out (sigh!) .
I think that I just like to create things, does not matter if it is a model car, a painting or a new mainspring for a Colt revolver, it is all satisfying in some primal way.
Hi Randy,
I used Tamiya grey primer while sanding out the flaws then smoothed before adding Tamiya fine white primer as an under-coat to Tamiya gold. I am planning to top coat with Tamiya clear which is why I am letting it cure forever (having had a bad experience by rushing)!
All of the above, with the rider that I have never built a model car or truck from scratch(with the exception of a 1/24 scale British heavy armoured car that
I did when I was still in high-school) Most of my scratch building was done when I was selling doll's houses and now is mostly confined to gaming.
Most of my recent model vehicles are conversions and kit-bashes and OOB aircraft which hang from the ceiling and so have quite a few parts left off as unnecessary (if it aint seen it aint used!).
