  1. "that's what I usually say, only very diplomatically." Diplomacy has never been one of my strong suits That's another reason I don't stick around my own car. I get into less trouble that way.
  2. "why did you go ahead and do THAT for?" I tell them because this is America and I can do what I want to my own car. All of these comments are one reason that whenever I take my car to a show - (I don't do that very often. I would rather drive it than park it on a lawn) - I park the car and leave it and go look at the other cars. Then I hang out with friends at their cars. That way I don't have to listen to people tell me what I did wrong. I have a 68 Impala and it seems that everyone's GRANDFATHER owned one. Evidently my car isn't cool enough for anyone's FATHER to have owned one. They also very often comment one how many bodies I can fit in the trunk.
  3. I just got mine in the mail.
  4. Thanks Tom, Here are my photos... http://public.fotki.com/NitroNeil/small-scale-car-shows/2013-liars-show/

  6. VERY cool. Wicked pissa model.
  7. Nice job, those colors still put fear in my heart, even 17 years since I left Mass.
  8. Not a fan of the subject matter, but the kit looks great. Nice job.
  9. AMT 1965 and 1966 Rivieras both have that engine.
  10. You're welcome. And have fun!
  11. Those are the class designations, which for that car with that engine would be A/GS which stands for A/Gas Supercharged. The Gas classes were broken into small pieces based on the body type; total car weight and engine size, blown or unblown. Here are some pages from an old 1963 NHRA rulebook for Gas Coupes and Sedan:
  12. Finally, a pretty one. You've had some real dogs lately. Don't know what it is, but it's certainly good looking.
  13. One of my Rock & Roll heroes. RIP.
  14. Open it up and let us smell that new plastic smell!
  15. Another nice one.
  16. Nice job on that old Buttera kit. Those are great kits, but they sure are fiddley.
  17. Just try finding a machine shop that can rebuild a set of heads for a small block Chevy. Go ahead, I dare ya...
  18. MassCar has a Facebook page. You can go there and ask them for current meeting info. They have moved the location recently. https://www.facebook.com/groups/52400785275/
  19. K, I'll play... Just finishing A Dance With Dragons by George R. R. Martin. It's the fifth book the Song of Ice and Fire series, better known as The Game Of Thrones. I have enjoyed the four previous books and I am enjoying this one just as well. It's like reading a good history book, only with more sex and violence, plus dragons and all kinds of other sorcery. Before that I read The Sleepwalkers: How Europe Went to War in 1914 by Christopher Clark. It's a very long book about the people and politics involved in the lead-up to WWI. It's well written and it kept my interest through all 1200-plus pages. Before that it was Cadillac: Standard Of The World (An Automobile quarterly library series book) by Maurice D. Hendry. Actually I haven't finished this one - I plan to go back and finish it. This is a very well researched and dense tome about the history of Cadillac up until the early-1980's. There is a TON of info and great pictures. This book was originally written in the 1970's and has been updated and revised a few times. My copy is the 1984 edition.
  20. Just found this build, love the concept and the execution so far is fantastic! You have just gained another follower on this one!
  21. Very cool Tom. This was nice build to begin with and you have done a great job sprucing it up.
  22. Here's another one in the series...
  23. Couldn't happen to better guy. A friend of mine describes Force as a rodeo clown on crack and I concur.
  24. Nice job Rich, still love your interiors.
