    Here is a cover shot of one of Richard Carroll's model on Car Model Magazine from 1970. Richard wrote a number of articles for Car Model mag back in the day. He was scratchbuilding with brass and casting his one parts long before most of us were even thinking about it. He eventually moved away from using plastic completely and lost interest in the model car hobby. He lived in Massachusetts and the MassCar Model Club tried to get him to display at our shows but he wasn't interested in participating at all. Kinda sad really - he was a major force in the hobby in the early days but most builders have never even heard of him. I have a set of his tires. I keep thinking I should sell them because I really don't have any idea what I would do with them, but I can't bring myself to actually put them up for sale.     I think it's great, but I'm biased, I've written articles for him. The editor is Roy Sorenson, who used to publish a magazine called "Plastic Fanatic". Roy sold "Plastic Fanatic" to a guy named Gregg Hutchings, and Gregg changed the name to Model Cars Magazine, which is where this forum is based. Roy was also one of the co-founders of the Western NNL in California.

    Tim, I heard it on another forum. It wasn't clear if Model King was going to do other versions, or if Round2 would do other versions. But it was definitely said that we will see "many more of these with different decals and box art" and the source was reliable.

    This is the engine I built for a replica of The Ramcharger's High & Mighty. The intake and the exhaust are both scratchbuilt. Here is the interior that I built for the High & Mighty, all scratchbuilt except for the pedals, shifter and belt buckles.
