Harry, I have never shown that model to anyone. How did you get a picture of it?

I'm willing to bet that the reason he went into the wall in the first place was because something was loose or in the process of failing on the first run and that it let go completely on the next run. The wall smack was probably a symptom, not a cause. He should have checked out why he went hard right like that, he might have found the problem. He probably blamed it on the track.

Count me in on any version of the 1800. The resin Volvos nearly $150. That just too much.

Much, much better than Top Gear America. I have to agree that Top Gear UK is better, but on the other hand, I bet we won't have to sit through reviews of Citroens or Puegeots on The Car Show.

Decals for the Revell Midgets are coming...
Nitro Neil posted a topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Hi, I know a few of you are hoping that the aftermarket will bring out some decals for the new Revell midget kits. I spoke with a couple long-time MassCar members at the show on Sunday, and they are well on their way to bringing out two decal sheets for the midgets. The company is called Vintage Racing Miniatures. They plan on having two sheets - one for the Offy engined kit and one for the V8-60 kit. Each sheet will have decals for SIX different cars that actually ran back in the day. And on top of that, each sheet will contain a large set of gold leaf numbers and lots of product logo decals to allow the builder to build their own "phantom" race car. So if you get both sheets you will be able to build 12 different replicas plus a ton of phantom cars. I got to see the artwork for the two sheets and they look great. They tell me that they have about a month of work left to do on the artwork, and then they will send it off to Cartograf. They expect to have decals ready and for sale by the beginning of the summer. Price will be $15.00 per sheet. -

It isn't my Shelby. I couldn't afford one of those. Oh, and I'm not there yet. -

I started the whole thing, so I have to go every year just so they can point their fingers at me and tell me it's all my fault. -
Dechroming parts
Nitro Neil replied to cdnmodman's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I use Easy Off oven cleaner, original formula. I put the parts in a glass bowl and spray the oven cleaner on until they are covered in liquid. I leave the parts in there for a full day. You need to leave them in that long to take off the clear varnish that the manufacturers use on chrome parts to help make the chrome adhere to the plastic. I use oven cleaner to strip paint too. -
Making Door & Hood Hinges

Yes, yes, please please kind sir. I hate the look of those wire hinges. -
Love the paint, always liked early Rivieras ever since my dad bought a 64. It was a lemon, but it looked cool.

I forgot how good a builder you are Jon. I still remember how much your Corvair convertible blew me away.
