  1. Nice piece Bernard, love the color.
  2. I think that's the guy who gave a ticket on the Pike. Those colors always give me an anxiety attack, even after 15 years in NH. Nice job.
  3. Thanks for the review Chuck. This one is on my list.
  4. Ok, I'll keep my mouth shut. Love those arcade games you are building. I haven't worked up to buildings and arcade games, I'm still building cars. Working on a little C/Altered right now.
  5. Hey Ken, does Mr. Haught know you are over here? I'm telling.
  6. 1941 Mercury Coupe Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Volvo P1800 1964-65 Buick Skylark Mid-1950's Buick
  7. You're probably right George. Although I wanted a real dune buggy when I was a kid, not a model
  8. Yeah, I want one, although I can't for the life of me think of a good reason why - it's not a drag car, it's not a hot rod, I'm not a big fan of kit-type VW-powered cars, and I will probably never build it. But I still want one. Maybe two.
  9. Up to your old tricks I see, Scott. I love looking at your miniature masterpieces.
  10. George, yes I know what the song says, but Charlie Ryan built the car by mounting a Model A body on a 49 Lincoln chassis. He cut the chassis down 24 inches, kept the V12, and lengthened the hood to fit the longer engine. Charlie and his wife drove the car around the country on tour to support the hit record in 1957. Charlie actually wrote the song in 1950, but didn't record it until 1955, and it became a hit in 1957. I think he had an earlier hot rod with a V8 Lincoln, and he may have had that car when he wrote the song. But the car he used to promote the song had a V12.
  11. Ken, The car that Charlie Ryan built and owned and that he wrote the song about had a V12 Lincoln engine in it.
  12. Christian, I know that I can use UPS and Fedex (DHL closed up shop here in the US a few years ago due to lack of business), but it's just an extra hassle. I have to go to the post office every day anyway, so that isn't a problem for me. Shipping overseas requires extra forms and extra costs. And while some countries have little or no issues, some countries are just to much hassle to deal with, and I don't have the time or inclination to figure out which ones are good and which ones are not. If I was selling things on eBay as a business, I would sell to overseas customers, but selling on eBay is something I do to get rid of extra stuff I don't need. Most of the time the money doesn't even leave my PayPal account before I have spent it on more kits I don't need. I don't buy stuff from overseas either, for all the same reasons.
  13. The problem with non-US shipping is that once it leaves the hands of the US Postal Service it becomes very hard to prove delivery. I have had one too many non-US buyers complain of not receiving the package. Now I only ship to the US and Canada. (Canada has good postal tracking, although they can be slow to deliver). I know that I have probably lost customers and maybe gotten a lower price on my items because of it, but it just isn't worth the hassle and the negative feedback for something that is completely out of my control.
  14. Nice piece Curt... I've been eyeballing that V12 engine myself. Looking to build the car that the song "Hot Rod Lincoln" was based on. Early Years Resin website - http://earlyyearsresin.webs.com/
  15. Aurora made a 1922 Ford in 1/25 http://www.ebay.com/itm/AURORA-1922-FORD-T-STOCK-STREET-DOUBLE-DUECE-2-COMPLETE-MODELS-/200671634177?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb8f62301
  16. I have an idea for a story Harry: "Who gets the kits in a divorce? How to keep your future Ex from asking for half the kits in the settlement."
  17. And now I will have to start collecting every issue of this magazine too...
  18. Ya know, the more you do this one, the more I actually think I would like it...
  19. Glad you bumped this one up Doc, my wife and I love Red Green. I will have to show her this one.
  20. I know some contributors for this mag is you need some content Harry.
  21. George, agreed, I always liked those April issues. I have to admit that the Airbox article - I think that was the first one - got me. I believed every word, until the next issue came.
  22. Now only if someone would make the decals to replicate the bus in the movie "Summer Holiday"...
