  1. The list looks about complete to me. I've owned two of the kits, the Jaguar XJR-5 and the 966. The jag was terrible. It was also a bit closer to 1/25th than 1/24th. I sold it on Ebay. The Renaissance offering is vastly superior on all counts. The 966 was pretty rough, but far superior to the XJR-5. I have loaned it to a caster in England who is cleaning it up to re-pop, and will modify said re-pop to also offer the later flat fan Sunoco version hopefully early next year. Both will be full kits not requiring the Hasegawa 962 to build it off of. I currently have four different kits this guy was re-poped. The K3 935, the final version of the Porsche GT1 and the Hendrick Corvette GTP. He will be offering a full detail version of this car, and has also re-popped the ex Formula Canada Shadow Can- Am car and the Cana am Lola. He is also offering a from scratch Ford C-100. I am working on a few masters that I hope he will do also. One is the Jaguar XKE V-12 I have shown in progress pics in the on the work bench section.
  2. Ordered a Scale Auto i/24 th Audi R8 GT3r body kit from the local Slot place. I'll have it in my grubby hands Monday when the order gets it.
  3. Well, that depends on personal knowledge as to it's utter "baddnes", opinion based upon visual or written issues. As to the fist, my experience says Chevy conversion van. As to the second, well that's a full folder....but Pontiac Aztek and it's Buick cousin are at the top of the list. The third has got to go to the Chevette for American cars, the Ygo for European cars, and any early Huyndai or Kia for the Pacific Rim.
  4. Proper big and littles for the Revell Stars and striped Corvette so the BFG version with Cady decals can be built. Please!!
  5. Thanks! The MR2 was a tough build I more than once wanted to throw at the wall...! The Alpine should have probably been built as the Tiger, but I had the original Alpine and decided to use the 4 cylinder instead of the 260.
  6. I built one of these as a kid. I like the kit, though it is not as accurate as the Fujimi nor IMC kits, but not as bad as some have labeled it. I look forward to your progress!
  7. Very nice work! I managed to score an old Revell FIA Cobra slot car body in need of serious work, but it was pretty cheap in that it came as part of a much larger bunch of stuff I resold for the same money. It is among my ever growing pile of things to build.....
  8. There are a ton of vintage subjects of the road racing variety to do. I've bought quite a few Japanese kits at 30 to 50 bucks, and we won't even talk about resin. I understand I am in a minority as far as builders go, but there seems to be so many different versions of cars that have been kitted before..... Strikes me as pandering to one part of the crowd really.
  9. I've been at this one for a while. the stopping pint for a while was the removal of the tinted windows. Tamiya molded them at the same time as the body shell. I'd been successful in removing them from the Tamtech Probe and BMW GTP bodies, but this 961 proved to be not so easy. I finally got the kit which has clear windows but I had been on the fence about hacking it up. It'll get done. Yes, it was a particularly awesome vehicle, but somewhat stasr crossed. Porsche had intended it to be a customer car, but it was nearly as expensive as the 962. In the three races the lone one built, it showed well till it burned to the ground at it;s second race at Le Mans.
  10. Having spent the better part of a half a years time working in a Nuke, I'd love to get my hands on one of the Westinghouse kits..... And I really want one of the MG A kits in 1/24th.
  11. As to what to offer as new kits, why not tool up the racing pieces for the Ferrari 430 and 458 and the ACR Viper kits? Monogram had a so so history of doing just that. While we're at it, how about an updated C6R kit? And while we're at it, is it oo far a stretch to ask for a Grand Am version of the new Camaro????
  12. Very nice work!
  13. Nice. I've got this same trans kit to build the Flying Lizards car. Seems the nose to hood joint is a nose related problem. Mine's the same...
  14. Wonderful build of a way cool GTS racer. Did you happen to cast the trans-axle.....nod wink?!
  15. Cool! I have the Bridgestone Supercar version of the Brumos 911 in a state of flux....
  16. Nice build of a cool car!
  17. Yeah, they are fun. I have always liked the what if idea. Thanks!
  18. I've toyed around with a Revell kit, but I do think the AMT kit may well be a better starting point.
  19. I have a Revell kit I've played with, but I'm not that happy with the out come so far. The AMT kit might well be a better place to start.
  20. Very nice!
