  1. This week? Don't you know how impatient we are around here?
  2. Ok, you've got my attention either way..
  3. Oh good.....
  4. My favorite (and only in my opinion) local hobby shop is closing their doors so I guess I'm to the point of "I'll take what I can get". I usually was one to support my local hobby shop but seems how that didn't seem to help, I guess I'll go check out Walmart. I'll take what I can get.
  5. Although I'm a little nervous with that last pic, I'm curious and I'll be watching.
  6. They both were finishing up models that were in the works when this photo was taken this morning and they both finished their models within 10 minutes of each other. It was pretty funny. The glue wasn't dry yet on the last detail and they both had the next project going. More pictures coming tomorrow I'm sure. They're animals!!
  7. Talk about left field.....where'd this bad-ass wicked-nasty thing come from.....???
  8. Beautiful car. I love the colors. But I have to ask the same question as Harry.......
  9. Oooooh.....that's SEX-AY!!
  10. It's pretty amazing stuff actually. I use it quite a bit.
  11. I'm thinking I need to get one of these....
  12. That's a sharp model. Nice job!
  13. In my experience, it seems that some stuff jives between the scales and obviously some stuff doesn't. You can sometimes get away with putting 1/24 scale wheels/tires under a 1/25 car and vise-versa. Another thing that comes to mind is when I used some 1/24 scale small block Chevy valve covers on a 1/25 scale car and it ended up looking like a big block which is what I was shooting for. So, the best advice I can give ya is just to try stuff out. If it looks good, roll with it.
  14. Here is everything detail painted and ready for assembly... And here is how she sits. She's now officially on all fours!
  15. Got some work done on the 'Bird today. Here you can see where I was working on my spindles... I used styrene stacked up to drop the spindles. Checkin' to make sure my spindle is centered in the wheel where I want it...
  16. I told the wifey that this weekend was "model car weekend" and that the boys and I were doing nothing but working on models all weekend. It worked out perfectly as this gave her a chance to go Xmas shopping. My desk is in the background. It's been a blast so far. Still have a day to go!! This is what the party looked like today...
  17. There's a couple of things I like about this one. You almost never this color combination and I dig that you put a small block in it. They didn't all come with 409's.
  18. ...traded for some powdered goods.
  19. Nice work there!
  20. Good point.
  21. Beautiful job!!! Bravo!!
  22. I don't know how nutty you are about things like this but.......there are some differences between a '66 bug and a '63 (which is what Herbie is). The main differences would be the rear license plate housing is smaller on '63 and earlier cars than the '64-'67 cars. The windows are all larger on '65 and newer cars than the earlier ones ('58-'64) and '63 is the last year for the fold back canvas ragtop (or sunroof). Those are the more major differences but there are many others including the front seats are different on the '65-'67 cars because they have the squared off shoulders and etc, etc. Again, you might not care but I thought I would tell you anyway.
  23. You should put these pictures with your other thread. It would be easier for everyone.
  24. Let us know how that works out. I've never tried it either and I'm curious.
