  1. Kennyboy is a good guy as we belong to a model car club together, and I just saw him at the meeting last week.
  2. The chrome step bars are only available on the Super Cab and Super Crew models only, and I definitely didn't want a four door truck.
  3. This two wheel drive truck sits a lot higher than my 2003 truck, and I believe all the newer 2WD trucks sit higher also. The "monkey bars" makes it easier to get in and out of the vehicle.
  4. Very nice build on that gasser.
  5. My truck was a "Special Order" the way I wanted it and not whatever the dealers had in their stock. The truck would have to have been special order no matter what brand I wanted.
  6. I've never had a problem with MCW Resin or MCW paint.
  7. Right now my truck has ground clearance, high seating position, and I also have posi, so I'm good to go.
  8. I've been drivin' here in the Midwest for over 50 years and never had the need for a 4X4 vehicle. They plow where I live and where I'm goin' and I'm lucky in that regards.
  9. I would check with MCW Resin as I know that I've seen them, however I'm not sure right now exactly where.
  10. That doesn't surprise me and I believe that it was done in Chicago already also. I don't blame people getting mad after spending all that time and energy diggin' out their parking spot and also staking it out, but for someone to do bodily harm over a parking spot is just plain NUTS.
  11. A "perfect modeling day" for me are the days I actually finish something.
  12. Diggin' out parking spaces, I remember those days when I had lived in Chicago a long time ago. What a pain.
  13. I paid a small fee for my account and it is working out very well. And yes you can do sub-folders also which is a big help instead of lookin' through hundreds of pics to find the one you're lookin' for. I had a paid Photobucket account, however near the end it would work whenever it felt like it. I'm now rid of them.
  14. NO thanks as I've seen a number of police car in my younger days when I was pulled over.................................
  15. I like the ones from Model Doctor and wish that I had "stocked up" on them. I have a couple left and I'll be stopping at a large model railroad store next week and will see if they can do me any good as far as a bolt like I've been using from the Model Doc.
  16. I've seen real cars and also photos of real cars with the stacks facing either way. You pick.
  17. Good luck with that Joe and take care of yourself, Spring is only 'bout 100 days away.
  18. What Casey had said, and remember that after the gold has dried and you mask it off to spray the black, shoot some clear along the tape lines first so that IF there's any bleed through under the tape it will be clear and not black.
  19. I tend to think that all of us put things to be done off now and then. And yes sometimes that causes problems that come back to kick us in the butt.
  20. While I'm not a model trucker, I was back in the 80's. That rig you built Tyler is absolutely great with loads of detail. I'm lovin' it.
  21. Very nice build on that Mopar, but those wheelz & tires are just too big for my tastes.
  22. Hmmm, I've got a red top Optima battery that I've had for a few years and it seems to work just fine. Of course I have it on a charger over the winter months, but have no problems starting the vehicle in the spring and it works fine all summer long.
  23. I've started on earlier this year, and now since I've seen your beauty I'm gonna want to finish it in the upcoming year for sure. That is a beautiful Caddy.
  24. I've been using Devcon 5-Minute Epoxy for a number of years now, as it dries clear and has a strong bond. I haven't brought a "repair kit" for I don't know how long to club meetings, contests, or NNL's when I display my cars. The epoxy is a bit pricey and there's some waste also, but like I've said before that it does have a strong bond.
  25. I would go with Revell's '62 Corvette D&M Gasser as the real car is just awesome.
