  1. This 1:1street rod belongs to a friend of mine and would look good in scale.....................
  2. Awesome set up there Greg, and great collection of "stash" too.
  3. Terry, I hope that your resolution works out for you. I myself only have less than 10 kits started and I usually only open 'bout 30% of my kits, as the rest stay sealed. Being retired I only finish maybe 3 or 4 kits per year due to lack of motivation, poor use of my time, too much time on this keyboard, going to car shows and cruise nights, and spending time with my grandson. I guess life does get in the way of my model building, or I'm just not devoted enough?
  4. Was that a 318 Poly motor?
  5. I hope that things work out well for your mom, and that her recovery is in a timely manner. Take care of her, as you don't get another mom.
  6. Last year I went to several car dealers when looking for a truck and told them all that the truck would have to be ordered from the factory. Well all of the dealers insisted on looking at the inventory on the computer and told me it would have to be ordered. DUH, that's what I told them in the first place. I have no use for a 4x4. extended cab, long bed, or V-8 engine anymore or any of the colors they had sitting on the lot either. I finally ordered it and got what I wanted. Of course the dealer surprised me by not offering to outfit my truck for me which would have been more dollars in their pockets, but I had a truck outfitter that I've used before. I now drive the truck I wanted as it'll probably be my last truck purchase anyway.
  7. Saw lots of solar panels when were in Maui last year.
  8. Nice car Jay, of course I just love dem B-body Mopars!
  9. Great photo s Gerry, and thanks. I did a cruise night at Lake Zurich in late Sept. and it was a good time. I'll have to go back there next year.
  10. They might carry those tools at Micro Mark also. I would cut the tip off a toothpick, use some double sided tape on the end and stick it onto the glass and try and install it that way. I believe that I had used this method once before and it worked out.
  11. Lookin' good Michael as I've been thinkin' 'bout those Carney cases if I ever run out of room in my curio cabinets. However I still have enough room to ad a shelf in each of the cabinets yet. Guess I better build faster.
  12. That does look like a hobby shop Tony. It looks great and seein' all those Monogram kit boxes is just plain awesome! Thanks for posting.
  13. Here's another reference photo for you..............................................
  14. Beautiful build and it reminds me of my friend's street rod .........................................
  15. It was beautiful as we took a motor coach tour (Caravan) and saw lots of sites in Nova Scotia. We went with another couple and there were 'bout 50 people on the motor coach. We were hoping to see more "fall colors" than we did, however it's hard to determine exactly when the colors would be at their peak. Back in 2013 we did a Caravan Fall Colors tour of the New England states and we hit it right on the mark. The colors were fabulous and the weather was great. I guess timing is everything.
  16. While some trucks have a lot of "bling," many others have the "cop car" look with black grilles, black bumpers, black wheels, etc. I don't car for this look at all. A number of people around here have "high dollar" trucks as the dealers sold them what they had left on their lots and the owners took it from there and added new wheels, new this, new that, and of course raised the vehicle a lot also.
  17. Nova Scotia is beautiful as my better half and I spent 10 days there this past October.
  18. Here's my '68 Charger, and I wish that I had more Chargers built but I don't. Hopefully next year?
  19. A good friend of mine owns a 1:1 car like that in the Cale Yarborough edition. A really nice car.
  20. Well, there are people who like to complain about everything. And there are people who take the good with the bad. As I get older I try not to complain, mostly because I'm tired of hearing myself complain. As long as the good out weights the bad, things are great.
  21. What irked me today was that out cable and internet provider had an "outage" today that lasted 'bout 12 hours. Not good doing without.
  22. Here's a photo of my curio cabinet in the living room with my built models in it.
  23. I go there all the time, not because I'm n the market to buy a ride, however to "window shop" and to see what's available.
  24. I just saw Jimmy Flintstone at our club meeting this past Froday night as we had our annual Christmas/pizza party.
  25. Have you checked out the Road Runners on www.carsonline.com?
