  1. Very nice build on that "Bullet Bird" and I too wouldn't have known that it was brush painted either. I wonder if I'll ever get around to building mine, as I have built a few back-in-the-day, however they are no longer around.
  2. Today is Small Business Saturday so I stopped at my LHS and bought a couple cans of paint, a gift certificate, and looked at some Lionel stuff also.
  3. I saw them at my LHS today, but I have one of the previous releases still unopened. One of these days I should build it.
  4. Excellent build Wayne of a legendary wheel stander. Here's a couple of photos of one of the LRW that I've seen in a collection a few years back.
  5. I'm not sure, but Jimmy Flintstone may have a '59 Ranchero body for sale also.
  6. You have my condolences Russ as it is always tough losing a family member or friend. Remember the good times.
  7. Mine also after I had purchased the '70 Dodge Charger kit.
  8. Glad you finally got your new truck, and wish you good luck and many trouble free miles.
  9. While I am a "rattle can man," I have owned a couple of air brushes and compressor but got rid of them. I have tried out a friends GREX air brush and it is really comfortable to hold and sprays well.
  10. Wow you've got some serious work into that coupe and it is lookin' great.
  11. That would irk me too, and then there's the person who has tons of groceries and they're rung up and she's searching through her purse for her wallet. Didn't she know that she was going to have to pay???
  12. You stole it for only $5 as I have a number of Franklin & Danbury Mints. I wish that I had bought even more when they were in business. Oh well???
  13. I believe that Kevin from the Detroit area had a '65 Galaxie convertible body at one time.
  14. Here's a photo of the Color Me Gone car taken at the Chrysler Museum........................................
  15. I'm still praying for all that survived that devastating hurricane as I cannot imagine what went on or having to cope with a disaster like that. I've been in San Juan a couple of times as it is a cruise ship port. I've also visited the fort in San Juan which I heard took a hit as well. A couple of my modeling friends are also from Puerto Rico as well. May God bless all of you.
  16. VERY nice, as I just love dem Mopars!
  17. I don't have that much leisure time to watch TV. There's certain shows I like to watch and I do so when they're on the air. I only record shows when I'm not going to be home for a certain program that I like.
  18. I usually "mute" all TV commercials. Wish I could do that at the gas station too!
  19. I finished one of those sedans 'bout three years ago or so. Built it as a '39 Gasser.................................
  20. I would check with: www.threeinchesunder.com as they have resin parts and may have what you're lookin' for.
  21. I have a Hobby Lobby only 1/2 mile away from home, and yet I drive 10 miles to support my local "hobby shop." I'm old school as I've been patronizing hobby shops since the 50's.
  22. If I recall correctly, the '53 Ford pickup truck kit did not come with a jack. However I have been wrong before at least once. LOL!
  23. Mine doesn't either and I don't live in Florida. If I had the money, I would like to spend two months of winter in Hawaii, California, Arizona, and Florida for about two weeks each. However I don't see that happening anytime soon.
  24. I've always liked the "square Birds" and yours is lookin' good. Nice color choice also.
  25. Yes, if you can get away with just one more coat, that's the way to go.
