  1. Your wife comes first, and I hope the surgery went well and she has a SPEEEDY recovery. The show will be there next year as its always the weekend before Thanksgiving and you won't be disappointed. There's over 500 cars from all parts of the country and no junk. If the good Lord is willing I'll be making a few more shows, as I look forward to them.
  2. No as I would give it a good coat and hope that it is finished. I paint using the rule of using the least amount of paint necessary to do the job, therefore not getting paint build up on moldings, emblems, scripts, badges, marker lights, etc. That goes for primer, color, and clear coats.
  3. That is a show not to be missed as it is in its ninth year and I've attended everyone of them.
  4. Nice trio of Chargers Randy, as I just love dem B-body Mopars!
  5. Lookin' good Mike and glad to see you here on this board with photos too. Yes you need some "High Octane" at your station, especially for those big block and Hemi Mopars. LOL!
  6. Looks like it's in pretty good shape, will you be putting a Hemi in it???
  7. How did you paint the hood stripes, as I'm currently working on the '70 road runner kit now? I sometimes buy multiple kits for the subject matter, and sometimes for "parts kits."
  8. I'll be checkin' out your future posts of your other airplane builds. Not to criticize as I'm not a "wingman" unless the wings are from Hooters. However I would enjoy seeing your other builds.
  9. I've had a can of Dupli-Color sitting around for 17 years waiting for me to finish using it on a "stalled" build. Well I did, and it came out great, and there was no seepage from the seam or anywhere else.
  10. We set the train up around the tree after Thanksgiving, and it is the Polar Express set. We also have some freight cars so we can leave the passenger cars on a spur. After the Christmas tree comes down I add lots more track and spurs for a few weeks. My grandson seems to enjoy it as that's why I had bought the set to begin with.
  11. With Christmas coming soon, I'll be setting up the Lionel train set for my 4 year old grandson and of course adding more switches and track as he is able to back the loco onto the spur and pick up or drop off the cars. He hasn't had the train leave the tracks yet, which is good news.
  12. Nice job on that Texan Eric as I had built one a few years back with different markings. My first plane model I've built since the 50's. I built it so that I could hang it from the ceiling of my model room. I would post a photo of it, but this is your thread. I'm hopin to build another airplane model kit in the future.
  13. I believe the next release from Model King will be the Moebius California Flash '65 Plymouth, if I'm not mistaken.
  14. I have a Coolpix L520 and I'm a "point & shoot" type of person and I also use my zoom lens a lot. I rarely take photos of model cars though. Mostly photos of 1:1 cars and vacation photos.
  15. Walmart has them in their craft supplies section, as I have the 3 X 4 and the 2 X 3" sizes, and they are relatively cheap for 100 bags.
  16. While I'm not big into "box art," there are some model car kit boxes that do grab my attention more than most. And that is what the manufacturers want, is to grab the attention of potential buyers.
  17. The Ventura is an "upgraded" Catalina as I owned a '60 Ventura as my first car.
  18. I've had this happen to me also and just "pitched" the cans and forgot about them. If you have 40 or so cans of paint, and you have to pitch a couple, it's no big deal. I believe that mine were Testors cans, but maybe others too???
  19. Returning home from a "destination wedding" that I "had to" attend, as it was a family member that got married. I hope that I don't have to travel for a few months as I just spent 10 days in Nova Scotia last month also. I must be gettin' old.
  20. I hope that its a box of "motivation" to help me finish more kits.
  21. VERY nice!
  22. Very nice build and hope you have a SPEEEEEDY recovery.
  23. Very interesting Bill, and thanks!
  24. Danny seems to always be lookin' for new stuff to cast to ad to his product line.
