  1. Starliner, no doubt.
  2. Awesome tutorial, looks like the perfect material for replicating vinyl tops. The molding strips look very much in scale also, something I have seen done before without much success. Thanks for sharing bro, you are a very talented builder.
  3. Awesome build, best one I've seen of this car. Foil is gorgeous, congrats on a terrific build.
  4. Very nice, those cragars always look good on these cars.
  5. I have a friend that subscribes to it and always lets me check it out, I thoroughly enjoyed Cruz' article on panel lines, always wanted to learn how he did that, looks like I have a bit of homework. Very good issue indeed.
  6. Great work on the Hudson engine, looks incredible. What color and paint did you use?
  7. Turned out beautiful man, love the color.
  8. I am not a perfectionist but I do strive to make better models everytime I finish and pick up another. I have learned a lot of tricks and good sound techniques from Cruz and every time I see his models and the way they turn out, it just makes me want to try harder the next time. There is nothing wrong with that, the main reason to join the forums and clubs and attend shows is exactly for that, to become better modelers. Perfection? It doesn't exist, specially at this scale.
  9. Harry is a smart guy, he has a keen eye for quality and it shows here, congratulations on the review, the trophy and everything else coming to you, you deserve it!
  10. Yes it is, I thoroughly enjoyed the feature written by Cruz on his gorgeous Impala, lots of good reading on this one.
  11. Love the blue Berlinetta, paint is awesome on that thing.
  12. This is awesome Cruz, do you have a picture of the engine?
  13. That's what we need in this forum, more tutorials by some of the best guys here. Who is daring enough?
  14. Reliable and consistent? I don't know about you but that trunk on the red Victoria looks pretty close to the real thing to me...
  15. I have seen so many nice paintjobs out there and such incredible builds but yet, a lot of them don't have their panel lines worked. Why? It just seems or should be a very big part of modeling specially when working with cars. What do you guys think of this and which methods do you employ to make them look right since I have also seen some that are just badly done specially when they are actually "drawn" on there
  16. Can't wait until the middle of summer, I attend lots of shows specially for the reference factor.
  17. Question gregg.... Why can't we have someone build models along with reviews instead of just pictures? It would be cool to have a picture of the built model along w/ the review in our magazine.
  18. I think it would be fun to do if you were building a toy for a kid or something, looks too childish. Thanks for sharing anyway.
  19. Love what Cruz did to his, wonder what color/paint he used to finish it?
  20. Looks good, I thought a black carpet would have looked better in that interior though.
  21. Good question. I prefer the cover of a magazine, it gets a lot more noticed than a trophy.
  22. Don't think you will see one done any better than this.
  23. Cool model, I am not crazy about the color, just doesn't look right on this car. Did you use a clear on that paint?
  24. Good start. Question, why re-chrome all the chrome parts? At least, in my opinion, the chrome on the bumpers is always better than the ones done in Alclad. I personally think that Alclad is perfect for smaller parts like valve covers and stuff.
  25. Very nice model, paint seems to be a bit on the thick side but I think it's because you used future for the clear, looks rough on some areas too. Other than that, I thought you did a great job. Color is very nice too.
