  1. That is a very nice clean build of that Mercedes Matt. Don't write off Fujimi though. That is one of their older kits. Most of their recent releases are very Tamiya like in their quaility and detail.
  2. Bruce, That's a really neat take on the stock car and it's sponsor. I love it! Job well done.
  3. Too kool for skool! Great little rat!
  4. Great build of a really cool race car. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Sorry Matthew. It's April 1st. I'm glad my review sounded beleivable but it's a SCAM. I always get my mags about 3 weeks after you guys do. I'll be lucky to get January's in 2 to 3 weeks. Sorry about that. O.K. I see you were editing while I was responding. Glad you got it. Peter
  6. Yep! Received issue #160 today with April cover date on it. They are really starting to catch up! Lot's of good stuff in it. Gregg does a review of the new Mergatroid air brush. It's a new company making air brushes out of Carbon Fiber. He states: Heavens to Mergatroid that's one fine air brush. Exit stage left. O.K. Pau Harry has gotten into the writing biz with an article on how easy and fun it is to assemble a Pocher kit. Moebius have announced if the Hudson and Chrysler do well, they will bring out a 51 Studebaker and a 49 Oldsmobile. The Resin Talk columnist says the new Amphicar kit from Ma's Resin really floats his boat. Wayne Moyer does his usual excellent reviews in Collector's Showcase and also has an article on adding brake lines to collectible model cars. Bill and Len build the new Revell 48 Ford with the surprise stock parts and body. Larry Greenberg is amazed at the new Revell 40 Ford woody based on their convertible kit and is also mighty impressed with the glue together 66 Batmobile kit from Round 2 Tim Ahlborn steps out of his comfort zone and turns the new Moebius Lonestar into a rocket powered exhibition truck and finally Gregg announces in his editors column that he was able to purchase another car builders magazine that another company was divesting itself from for peanuts. Our favourite mag will now be called Scale Cars Auto Magazine or SCAM for short. Isn't it a lovely April day? I think I'll go sit out in the sun.
  7. I have to admit to hoarding including having multiples of some kits especcially A's, T's, 28/29 Lincolns and 32 Fords. Probably well over 400 + and well as numerous resin kits. "Hi! My name is Peter and this is my first Model Car Kits Anonymous meeting. I was referred by my friend Bill Eh? I admit to being a kit hoarder. I can't stop buying. I get so many neat ideas." Group: "Hi Peter!"
  8. I love seeing builds like this. Great road racing Ferrari! Nice clean build. Can almost hear it blasting away from corner 5 at Mosport!
  9. This Spring? In time for NNL East maybe perhaps maybe please??!!
  10. I congratulate you on your other modelling hobby. But I have to admit that for myself I voted no. As hard as I try I just cannot wrap my head around paper modelling. I can't even explain why - it's just some sort of mental block like some people have to diecast modelling. It's like to me a magazine on the internet is not a magazine, a model made of paper is not a model. But I've seen the results and they can be convincing.....arrrgghhh! I'm going to hit my idiot head against a wall for awhile.... In the meantime I say go for it. Like all other subjects on the board some will be interested and some will not.
  11. That is a magnificent P4! Well done indeed!
  12. MMmmmm....minions! I love minions! I especially love them fried up and served on a burger or I like liver & bacon and minions.....oh wait you said minions not onions eh? Sorry about that.... Great work by the way. He, she , it's a really neat project!
  13. I think it's one of Harry's Pocher kits!
  14. What - No Decaprio and Winslet standing on the railing at the bow? Great build Chris!
  15. Ooooohhhh! Babararacucudada! I'll be checkin' this one out at NNL East (I hope?)
  16. That's a great build Mitch. I always love seeing a Ron Fellows car built that cleanly.
  17. Gee Harry, I woulda thought you woulda kept that one for Real or Model!
  18. I vote real.......oh wait wrong contest....
  19. Woohoo! Got #154 today! Looks like a very good issue. Now anxiously waiting for #155. Should see it some time in early March.
  20. Wow! And here I was looking forward to posting in the #154 thread that I had received that one and you guys are starting to get #155 already?
  21. Rob, My reaction when Chrysler started showing previews of the 300C was: "My God Chrysler is releasing a new car based on the movie vehicle The Car.How do they expect to sell cars based on a horror movie?" I've mellowed towards the 300 but I still think they used The Car as a prototype.
  22. e-zine? Well it wouldn't be free as Harry said the magazine pays for the forum. So we would have to still pay for it and wait for it to be updated. And then we would have to pay to print it too? e-zines are the lamest things. Just fancy web sites. Get rid of the silly flipping pages and make a good web site that people pay for. But be that as it may my money will still go to the publisher who delivers a paper mag to my postal box not one that expects me to absorb the printing costs. There are enough free forums out there that getting people to pay for magazine websites?...well not me anyway....
  23. Good information guys! I'm also looking at doing a diorama that will need snow. I appreciate the info being shared here.
  24. I dunno....those would be solid rubber tires. How much compression would there be? I think Harry is pulling a fast one so I'm going model.
  25. All American used to do some of those. About the only way to get them now is to luck into them on an auction site or at a contest or NNL.
