When will we be seeing issue 225

That's fine. If 3 months is a better cycle then do that. However change the magazine to be a quarterly and do it like clockwork. Saying the magazine is bimonthly when it isn't is confusing and creates the impression is running late. -

Great news. Thanks for the update. Hopefully you guys can get back to the bi-monthly schedule. -

You can accept the challenges of life and become a better person or use those challenges as an excuse to do nothing.

What baffles me was the decision to OK the mission when there were known problems. It's different if there was an unanticipated problem while in space. The Challenger disaster happen because the o-rings failed because of a known weakness becuase of the cold. You'd think they would have been more cautious.

A couple of things. How long did you let the primer dry? Second if you can't fix the crazing I'd suggest doing a patina paint job. I've seen a few trucks done that way. I know that may not be what you want to do but it's better than buying another kit. Wow I'm impressed it looks like you managed to save the body. Nicely done. .

A new model car magazine

I see this as a good thing. More coverage of the hobby is great. There are limits to what can be put in an issue. Besides a little completion is healthy as it keeps everyone on their toes. -
For those who mourn the loss of Scale Auto there is a new model car magazine out. A friend sent me a copy. The title Is Auto Modeler and the website is https://www.AutoModelerMag.com .

In addition any paint claiming it's primer and paint usually means the solvent is really hot and will destroy styrene. Second if the goal is to save money it's worth gett8ng an airbrush. A pasche single act8on airbrush and compressor package is around $200. With the cost of rattle cans you can spend that amountf easily. It provides a lot of flexibility in paints you can use.

Experimentation is good when the results are repeatable. However in this case there are way too many variables. The kit plastics characteristics change frequently, the paint formulas change, temperature and humidity fluctuate, As said it makes more sense to develop a system with proven materials. And even then things can go wrong. Why make painting more difficult than it needs to be.

Ford has recall but won't have parts till next year.

Was watching an analysis of the crowdstrike debacle caused by a chain of cost saving shortcuts. Which is common in many cases today. Too much reliance on automated testing and not enough testing with actual users. -
Experimentation is a good thing. However when you are using a product for something that's its not intended for you are asking for trouble. If you are using paints made for models if the formula is changed it will still be compatible to the plastic. You can't say the same thing for Restoleum or any other similar paint. For most builders time and money are a limited commodity. New kits are expensive. Second is how you want to spend your time. Do you want to get something done or spend time fixing a paint issue because of using the wrong products.
