Another wonderful day. It's going to be cooler which means I can go sit in a area that is quiet. I am not used to all of the ambient noise. It is a pleasure to be able to hear the water in the fountain. I is so peaceful. As always feeling better every day.

Function should.take precedence over form because that is the most important aspect of any product.

What's with the U.S.Post office these days?
bobthehobbyguy replied to styromaniac's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Ti think that this would be for a non plug-in hybrid. With all of the stops the batteries would be charged and requiring minimal gas usage. In addition there would be no load on the grid. All ele c tric is not the ideal solution in this case. -

I had a thought. With the recent trend of closing sorting station requires changing the database for those changes. There are multiple issues that can be created by this. If mistakes are made in the sorting database it would cause packages to be sent to the wrong place. another issue could be some issue with the database itself. I also wonder how they implement the database for the sorting machines. Just a thought. -

You expect intelligent ads from insurance companies when there representatives are dinner waitresses, talking geicos, and emus. Makes as much sense as going to a brain surgeon and his got clown makeup on and oversize shows.

We have been experiencing temperate in the 100s the last couple of days. Yesterday the high was 104. We lost power last night at 8:30 PM because someone took out a power pole. Typical to when things go wrong the backups generator had an issue. We didn’t get power back until 3am. It was hot. Fortunately this didn’t happen earlier when it was a lot hotter.

Another glorious morning. Woke up a little sore this morning which tells me that my exercises are starting to strength my muscles. I am also pleased. Before my pacemaker surgery I was getting some shakiness in my hands. It started to improve and then started getting a little worst. After the surgery my right hand stopped but the left was still shaky. I realized I was having to most everything with my right arm becuase of the pacemaker surgery. I realized I needed to exercise my left hand. I looked on the web and found some exercises. I've been doing them for a couple of days and the shakiness has gone away on the left side. I have one more blessing in my life.

You'd think that 5000 years we would have figured it out. No I'm not of the belief that we've every had real peace in the world. There have always who seek power over others. What purpose does it serve to have billions of dollars. There are so many things that money will never buy. In the Star Trek next generation movie Picard talks about humanity being transformed and cast off the need for greed and wealth and there are better things to aspire for. Budda came from a rich family but realized that wealth was not the most important thing in life. He chose to teach others to follow that path. You cannot put a monetary value on some things. A beautiful sunset or the singing of a songbird. Being grateful for what you have is just so important. I doubt that mankind will figure this in my lifetime but there is hope that it will eventually happen.

I'm talking about the world in general. Not intending this to be any political conversation. I believe that the humanity has so much potential for acting better between themselves rather than hatred for others and those are craving wealth and power.

Kurt glad to hear you are doing better. Being tired all the time is the pits. I've been dealing with that for quite and have gotten past since my recent surgeries. If you did encounter any morons I'd buy a lottery ticket it seems to me hitting the lottery is like flipping a coin in comparison. Nice looking truck.

I don't have a shelf of sa Hame. I have a wall of shame of projects(approx 100) stalled due to a variety of reasons. The range is from peppered and ready to paint to complex projects that have stalled due needing to figure out some aspect. -
Love it.

The craziness of the world today. Too many people exist in a reality that has no basis of fact. Just becuase something is said a hundred times that doesn't me it's the truth. The world needs to wake up and treat each other better. The world needs to realize violence is not the situation. Somehow there needs to be a catalyst to make this happen.
