Another useful tip when using parts from different sources is to pin parts so that will always go together there same way. Also a good habit when part placement can be vague.

The system that Google is using just using a dataset to train. As you said Watson was a lot more sophisticated however even it had limitations.
Technically what Google is doing is called machine learning. Watson was more AI.
First off I've never been impressed with Microsoft as there code is a disiaster waiting to happen. It's a house of cards on a shaky card table.
