  1. Economics and scale fidelity are related. The price affects what can be achieved in the final product. Harry hit the nail on the head in post 103. Also if you go back to the op it was discussing all factors that can contibute to scale fidelity.
  2. Sorry to hear about the paint problems. What paint are you using? How long are you leaving the tape on for?
  3. Chris any updates? You know it isn't going to build itself.
  4. Very nice and clean. Great you were able to take a trip down memory lane.
  5. That $2 kit cost $25 now for a variety of reasons. Yes the tooling was done a while back but say it the case of Amt the tooling was purchased fro the previous entry owner and they need to get a return on investment. Then there are licensing costs, higher cost of labor and raw matrrials, and lower volumes of production. All of these things contribute to the current price.
  6. Very nice collection.
  7. Keep up the good work. Coimng along nicely.
  8. Great start. What engine are you using?
  9. Jordan you are the exception to the rule on paying more. When the truck kit was being discussed there were many complaining about the price. In most cases when the price goes up you lose potential customers which could make or break a kit being released.
  10. Foxer I agree 100 percent. Second if you are not happy with what is being produced don't buy it. Its that simple.
  11. Ray I think what you have is fine. I would just continue with what you have. If you were doing an exact copy it would be different.
  12. I vote for the flattie. Like the concept. Keep up the good work.
  13. Ray looks better now. The overhang is the back looks better now.
  14. A slightly rounded edge on the trunk which also match the rounded edge of the roof. Just a thought.
  15. My two cents. There are deadlines to be meet. There are multiple projects going on at the same time. There are multiple factors that cause inaccuracies to be introduced. Bottom line every project has a budget and hours scheduled. With multiple online sources we can get kit reviews before we commit our case. Either buy a kit or don't. Its really that simple. Just don't start anothervthread on this subject.
  16. Very nice work on the u joints. Very nice work on the u joints.
  17. I agree with Ken. Cutting it that way would makecthe most sense. I think it will make a huge difference in the final models appearence.
  18. I agree the painted steelies.
  19. The trunk does look a little out of place. How about something like this?
