I'd suggest adding another coat clear. Then sanding with 1500. Then shoot one more coat and then polish. -

Did you stay to see who got trophies? -
The secret to decals is the smoother the surface the better. That why you can't put decals over flat paint. You get silvering.

Very nice work. Very clean as always. Great color choices.

Check out this link to a henry j build by cody. He is using a jig to build he's chassis. Great info for building a chassis. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92698

Here is a link to tamiya paint questions. http://www.tamiya.com/english/customer/cs_top.htm unfortunately they do not recommend using their clear over decals. There are some who say that it can be done with light coats but others who say otherwise. If you google tamiya ts13 clear over decals you can see the comments.

Nice work so far. I would suggest shooting another coat of color. If you use your airbrush you could shoot just the trunk, roof, and hood. What paint are you using?

Thanks for the info. How long ago did you do these?l

My 2 cents. Revell probably do ff because they don't have a licensing agreement. Given the fact that amt has the licensing they might. But I'm not sure they did that well with the stuff they've done in the past. If they do something it probably won't be anything more than repackaging what they have. Don't see them doing any retooling.

Great job. Super clean. When I saw the article I thought that there was plenty to work from. Which did you use for the chassis? -
I remember reading the an article that said right after the last color coat or wait 30 days. The reason was a possible issue that the clear coat could crack if it didn't fit in that window. Never had it happen to me. Also not sure if this is the case because tamiya has recently reformulated the paint.

The bubbles are propellent trapped in the paint. I've had problems with that if I've had the can too close to the body when using Tamiya paint. Shooting too close is also the cause of the runs and sags. Here is a link with tamiya recommendations for using their paint. http://www.tamiya.com/english/scale/beginner2/2.htm -
Nice work on the dash.
