  1. Great idea. Nice clean project.
  2. Gets better every update. What is the souce of the little red go cart I ?
  3. You will want to assemble all the parts for the engine that are painted the same color and then paint. Any glue that works by melting the plastic will not work properly if there is paint on the surface. Brush painting is fine for small parts. Paint type can be either enamel or acrylic.
  4. Chris outstanding job. The blower looks great. Keep up the good work.
  5. I definitely seeing tying this into 3d printing. You build your model selecting the different components you want from the library. Then you have those parts printed and sent to you to assemble. Sort of building a model from the ultimate parts packs. If there were a library of colors for say tamiya you could also test out what color scheme you wanted. You could either order the paint at the same time or use your own to finish the model.
  6. Actually the idea has merit. If one could build the virtual model and "paint " it in say testors or tamiya paint colors then the final step would be to have the parts 3d printed. The ultimate in parts packs
  7. Nicely done. Is a 12 hourvmodel?
  8. Nice job. What colors are they?
  9. Very nicely done.
  10. You've made a lot of progress. The new paint samples are looking better. One thing to be aware of how soon you are shooting the clear coat. The tamiya and testors paint seems to be alcohol based ij fact you can strip them with rubbing alcohol. You want to make sure to allow the lacquer to outgas before you spray the clear. Out gassing means that the paint solvent needs time to evaporate completely. Lacquer dries from the outside in. To see if the lacquer has outgassed completely if you smell the paint and it has a strong smell it still has a lot of solvents in it. Hope this makes sense.
  11. X2 on the engine. Great start.
  12. The woodie and relatives are very nicely done.
  13. Looking good. Was wondering how you were going to handle the wheel wells. Keep up tho good work.
  14. Nice start. Did you wrap the brass around an exacto handle? also the gas tank is the top part of the cowl in a 29 revell just doesn't complete it.
  15. People who drive up to somebodies house and honk to let them know they are there. if you are to lazy to get out of your car use your cell phone and call them why bother everybody else because you are a self centered idiot.
  16. That's either a very big penny or you gotten a shrink ray. Those bottles and batteries are models in themselves.
  17. Ed Roth on steriods. Except all metal and driveable. Sculpture on wheels. Interesting to see how much is done in wood before commiting to metal.
  18. http://blastoland.com/blastoland/FROGS_BUILD.html Here is the link for some build photos
  19. Parachute mount is a work of art.
  20. If you google blastolene you can see more of this and some of the artists other projects. The engine has a decorative cover which is on the engine in some of the shots.
