  1. A crazy thought just came across my mind. For some of his big scale models Randy Derr has had laser etching done for his tire tread. I wonder if the blower could have the logo laser etched. Not sure if it would work on resin. Just a thought.
  2. I'd just get the bare areas covered. I'd say a heavier trying to do a thin might cause orange peal. Might have to lightly sand again. In my mind the duplicolor clear would be best. I'm not crazy about mixing paint types. The one shot will work but beware that it is alcohol based and you want the lacquer to outgas so there won't be solvent trapped when you shoot the one shot . If you smell the body and it really smells strong then the paint hasn't dried enough. lacquer dries from the outside in whereas enamel dries insde out.
  3. Nice job. Would you post before and after for comparison?
  4. Great tip. Even cheaper source for noodles is a dollar store.
  5. Great job. The rust looks really good.
  6. John hope you have a great birthday.
  7. If you are going to shoot lacquer then you will want to hit it with another coat of primer.
  8. Sharp looking engine.
  9. Double wow. Great idea. Never would have thought to use that chassis under a truck. Very nice.
  10. Nicely done.
  11. Very nice. Creative spin on the Ala Carte.
  12. The fact that with unerring precision people can manage to stop to talk on their cell phone, have a group conference, or many other things and manage to find the bottleneck point. People who cannot manage to put their vehicle into a diagonal parking spot without taking up 2 spaces. People who go cross country in a parking lot and ignore the lanes.
  13. Yeah but the description says it was started and no pictures of the contents. Box looks pretty beat up.vnot sure if its really a bargain.
  14. Like the idea of some weathering instead of having that just finished look. However weather just to the level of normal wear and tear becuase you want the slightly used look not abused look. Is the theme still a man cave as that makes a difference in how much weathering should be done. Keep up the good work.
  15. Personally I would use evergreen and make your own.
  16. I remember an article Gregg did in the magazine about fixing fish eyes. Spray some of the clear into a container and use a brush to fix in the craters. Let that dry thoughly dry and then wetsand. Repeat if necessary. Then try polishing that out. Might be able to save it this way.
  17. Very cool. Very creative version of the Deora.
  18. I agree on the snap kits. It would give them a postive experience. Also would let them chose what they want to build.
  19. Then the other possibility is the phone was hacked. Did you check to see if the provider made the change?
  20. Ace I have to wonder did your phone get hacked either that or a practical joke.
