  2. He said it was missing the quarter trim pieces when he got it. that's why there are empty "slots" on the quarters. Nope,the small skirts are from the kit. yep it's a 53 Ford.

  4. I'm only seeing a single small ad at the bottom of the page (don't even see em unless I scroll to the bottom of each page) so far all the ads I've noticed are main-stream ads for cars, banks and the like. Not a problem for me.

  13. which version would you be willing to accept as inaccurate? (even if Moebius didn't care) most hardtop bodies (if not all) were different than convertibles..different shapes to the top, backwindows and top well...many had extra crossmembers on the frame. i'm guessing most modelers would have little interest in cutting off the roof as well. From their inception at GM in 1950, and out to the middle 1960's, hardtops were little more than convertible bodies with a steel top welded in place--look at any 50's hardtop that's had the interior stripped out of it, and you will see the locating points for the convertible top mechanism, and even the mounting points for the locking handles for the top in the windshield header. Art Well yes Art...with those exceptions of course. I was thinking of the later models when I wrote that..but I was still wrong-ish.

  15. yes..hopefully. Moebius' apparent success with their "good enough" approach is unlikely to bother fixing their obvious errors...

  18. Try turning the brake "drum" over. Your pic of the real thing shows what I mean..the "small end" goes inside the wheel. Maybe file the flange to match the fins on the backing plate side of the drums like in the pic? Not a big deal, just my impression.
  19. You may have the parts backwards.....I think the backing plate should be on the other side of the "drum" with the flange against the backing plate. Good idea though....if it's not glued try moving the parts around and see what you think.

  21. I'm pretty sure that's a '57. The hood emblem is your best (only?) clue. I found pics of two USFS pickups..a 57 and a 58-9 (Chevys) both light green with white roofs like in your pic. I also found pics of a 55 F100 panel with USFS markings but I kinda doubt it's legit..
