It'll run my Iwata HP-BS, so, hopefully, it will run the Grex.

There are small bottle options for the Preval if you go that route. But I would recommend first considering the portable airbrush. You can attach existing airbrushes you own. I personally use one of my Iwata's with it.
-
Another option if the aerosol is not available would be the Preval Spray System. You load the bottle with the airbrush ready paint and spray as a shaker can.

I don't know if MCW offers aerosols at the moment, but he does have a contact us on his page where one could ask. Ass regards the portable airbrush, whether the poster meant it or not, it could be used as one would use a shaker can as no power source is needed when spraying. I have one for small jobs. It charges via USB and I can connect an airbrush hose with the brush to it and use it wherever. Ideally a booth is helpful, but not necessary. No control of PSI, so you get what you get. It works well for my uses. This is the one I use:

Resin noob questions.
Exotics_Builder replied to Chris 422's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Ditto that. I've had a friend experience the same with Purple Power. I use Dawn Dish Soap as well. Have yet to experience any problems. Also, be sure to repeat after you've done any mods or scribed lines to be sure any newly exposed resin is also treated. -
Trunk Liner Paper?
Exotics_Builder replied to Len Woodruff's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
They vary by manufacturer and sometimes model. The grid paper you showed would not likely fit a lot of cars. Some of the lines have houndstooth and some are vinyl. -
Rays decals from Netherlands?

I usually use Joe Morgan as I don't build quickly and can wait. Your product is AWESOME. No more can be said -
Early 60s Indycars -- Watson Roadsters
Exotics_Builder replied to Matt Bacon's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Matt, I sent you a PM. I do have that triple kit set unbuilt and, if you do not have it, can photo the parts of the Watson Roadster for you. The only model in that set I plan on doing is the Lotus. -
This event was advertised for some time. When I went to spectate, it was a disappointment to me. Perhaps the intermittent rain showers kept some away. Or there were other events people wanted to attend (even allowing it was Father's Day). Several of the vehicles looked liked they had been taken off the jackstands in the garage for an early outing. Some looked like potential entrants for the Concours D'Lemons. Anyway, I took very few photos and left within an hour. Link to Album

New Project – Revell 1969 Camaro Pace Car
Exotics_Builder replied to Exotics_Builder's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I actually owned a 68 Z/28 that was stolen and totaled by the thief when chased by the police. Then I got a 70 Z/28. Still wish I had either but loved my 68 (except for gas mileage). Picture is about 2 weeks after I got the 68 and before the engine mods (headers, cold air, short ram, etc. were down by the dealer). -
New Project – Revell 1969 Camaro Pace Car
Exotics_Builder replied to Exotics_Builder's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Back on the bench. Got through the projects that put it on the shelf. Now is the time to get this back in gear and complete. The stock replicas would have A.I.R. smog systems on them. Even though Revell has an A.I.R. air pump in another kit, there is no exhaust tubing and muffler. It is a small part but, I cobbled one together with various pieces of Evergreen plastic. It is not perfect and still needs a little cleanup, but since it will be a bit deep in the engine bay, should pass muster. In the future, I will need to figure out how to do a more refined version and replicate it. I have about seven future projects that would benefit from this part. Need to carry on with the hoses and the connectors next. Also, back to painting and decaling the body. -

I just pulled out the Revell 69 Camaro Pace Car to get back at it. Started the base paint and engine detail. -
Union Lola T-70 kit
Exotics_Builder replied to 64SS350's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Well the Union kit is supposedly the IMC kit which came out in 1966 and John Mecom's Lola T-70 Ford raced first in 1965. So, I am guessing that 1965/66 would be the prototype year. -

In the last couple of weeks, I dug it out of the moving box and will take some photos today. I have one of the racers and the bass boat. I will not be building the racer and will likely trade it off. Here's a link to online instructions: https://public.fotki.com/bill-rules/instruction-sheets/revell/chevrolet/revell-7240-mach-1-/

I got a set recently (in 1/25) as I am doing a Johan Superbird with chassis from an AMT Plymouth to beef up the detail. Hope to get at it later this year.

Ray's Decals has 1/24 and can do 1/25. There is a US distributor in Wisconsin. It can be a while to get them. Email is sunbird93racer@yahoo.com.

Just don't have the words. He is the 6th to pass on in the year and a half. And yesterday came news of another one, Bruce Sadewater (aka Hemiman) has gone on to the big model room in the sky. May they all Rest in Peace. -
Chicago Area
Exotics_Builder replied to prostreeter69's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There is also Ron's Hobbies in Mundelein and B&G Train World in Elgin (never went there when I was in the area). The two great ones (from the time I was transferred there) were Venture Hobbies in Wheeling and Al's Hobbies in Elmhurst (both long gone).
