  1. On the left, the "new" houndstooth upholstery and, on the right, the previous 1970 upholstery pattern
  2. That is what I have heard from them. They need approval and also verify (as best as possible) if the car is accurate. And, in Revell's case, only get about 5 new tools a year (and a modified reissue that is 50% or more modified is considered a new tool).
  3. I can take a close up photo tomorrow if interested?
  4. It is corrected, but the original sheet was not supposed to be Houndstooth from what I was told. I have both upstairs, not yet packed.
  5. Not so fantastic day for this event. It was sprinkling when we got there and it got wetter and wetter. Lots of cars covered (can’t blame them) and the outrider car corrals (including club areas) was very sparsely attended. Anyway, took some photos of some of the best. Flickr Show Album
  6. Fantastic day for the event. Likely the last one I’ll ever attend as living in Washington State will prohibit coming out. And then there is GoodGuy’s Pleasanton, a lot closer to the new place. A large variety of different types of vehicles, mainly concentrating on cars of the 50’, 60’s and 70’s. Flickr Show Album
  7. I know on Bridgetown. It had a new owner when we were out in 2013 deciding on moving back to Puget Sound or to Southwest Washington. Mike had already retired and sold to a new owner. I really enjoyed coming down for events and stopping by there and Tammies to "load up". We may be out for the September meeting, too soon to tell. The house is about a month to six weeks from completion. This is a photo the realtor took a couple of days ago.
  8. Well, if detailing, the 63 had drum brakes and 67 discs on all fours. And the 63 had only small block 327 engines, the Revell 67 is a BBC. The master cylinder of the 67 is proportioning, the 63 is not.
  9. So I heard. Mike Kerns of SABA spoke highly of them. When I would head to the Portland area Bridgetown and Tammie's were my go to. Now that we're moving to Camas I'll have to reorient what is around. I have joined SABA, used to be a member of PSAMA.
  10. Isn't A Step Above (ASA) Hobbies in ALbany permanently closed?
  11. Winner first and then their model (multiple wins combined) GTR 10 Winners
  12. Took this photo at the GTR Contest yesterday in Crystal Lake Illinois
  13. Been mainly busy getting the new house options pinned down and starting to pack up the house. But, took some R&R time to go to a couple of local car shows, Mooseheart last Saturday and a club show at Cantigny Park today. Both were lightly represented than in previous years. Don't know if the storms/flooding/other shows/whatever is contributing. But I took pix of the cars there. Here are the two Flickr Albums: Mooseheart Car Show of July 15 Car Show at Cantigny Park on July 23
  14. This is what I did with it almost 20 years ago
  15. That air cleaner style was available from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland. Haven't checked recently though
  16. There were four kits in that series as far as I recollect. The 308GTB, Maserati Bora, Ferrari 365 GTB and Lancia Stratos rally car.
  17. AS is targeted for aircraft/armour but has metal colors and grays that can also be used on autos.
  18. Hypoid Cement (Watch Crystal glue). Epoxy if helping element a warp.
