  1. I have several sets of these in different colors like black, red, white, silver and gold. Bu, they are all packed away for my impending move. I just did a google search to pick it up.
  2. Are talking about this one? Which are custom scallops that are not car specific. You use these to your liking and fitment on a model.
  3. I am really liking this!! GREAT JOB!
  4. Good idea. I built one years ago that got damaged in our move out west. By then, you could not find a replacement kit and the internet was called APRANET/ .
  5. Not my cup of tea.
  6. If you mean this: BNL Resin http://www.b-n-lresins.com/index.html
  7. I will usually replace the belts, but have, on occasion, used a Xacto No. 11 to scrape the belt to make it thinner.
  8. It varies depending on what you are modeling and what style (custom, stock, etc.). If you are replicating a period stock vehicle, you would need to research (or query the knowledge base here) on painting techniques. The underspray along the edges is what one would usually expect a vehicle being painted to exhibit since the entire underside is not exposed. Many stock vehicles in harsher climate zones may have been undercoated to prevent rust. That would generally show as matte black. Chassis and suspension parts were often painted black (again depends on vehicle) and wheel wells may also vary. dd to this if you consider weathering. A custom vehicle, on the other hand, might be sprayed entirely body color for the effect and the fact that they would be mounted on a rotisserie. But, it really gets down to your taste and whether you wish to display the underside of the car. Unless you are doing replica stock and making everything visible, you are the builder.
  9. My understanding is that once the resellers get them, the pre-order expires. Also, expect about $30 shipping to the US on top of the $120
  10. Yep. Got one plus a street version as well as the Revell Rally version.
  11. A few others as well, but I plan to build all but perhaps the 65 Bonneville, 62 Tempest and 69 Grand Prix. I may sell those off after I move into the new house get settled.
  12. Yes. Just can't get instant response. Steve is pretty good with that.
  13. He's on Holiday now, so no orders will be handled for two-three weeks
  14. Great technique. I appreciate the tutorial!!
  15. I've got 44 boxes loaded, not counting the HO stuff. Two more are partially loaded. Then there is all the Photoetch, aftermarket parts, parts boxes, tires, wheels, decals, and diorama stuff (tools, figures, furniture, etc.) that are waiting to be boxed.
  16. The Bugattis are out, the 488 Spyder is just coming out and is also curbside based on the kit samples I've seen by the vendor on FB. The 488 GTB is yet to come out and I have not seen full kit samples to know how much of an engine there will be given that there is the glass over the engine compartment.
  17. I would say about 15%, which include expensive (think Model Factory Hiro 1/24 scale Ferraris) and hard to find kits (until the manufacturer finally decides to do a reissue). I have boxed them carefully and have an estimated value for what is each box. I also will have them insured.
  18. It is a 2000 mile move from the Chicago area to Southwest Washington state about 20 miles from Portland Oregon. We have already made a couple of trips out where some stuff came with like my best builds. But I have over 700 unbuilt kits in 38 boxes. Insurance is not an issue, we will have coverage.
  19. I have a bunch of rarer or pricier kits that I have boxed up with others, plus my PE, parts, transkits and decal stashes. Still not sure if I should have them moved with the other household goods or do something like PODS? Anybody have any experiences or advice (some photos below).
  20. For those who haven't gotten one, I guess the Riviera is a good choice, but it seems to have frequently been reissued, sometimes with way less content. But, I personally find it hard to get another of some of these when I have unbuilts sitting in the stash.
