  1. If anyone is interested, Race Motor Replicas offers a body like this with a chopped windshield, tubbed bed ,bed cover' molded in ground effects' cowl hood and a frame that's narrowed in the rear axle area- Also available as a 'hardtop'. Neither has a 'seam between the body and the bed, being molded as one seamless unit ('smoothside')............'Z'
  2. Race Motor Replicas also offers a version of a '69 Camaro tubbed frame, with a tubbed interior and interior panels, lowered front suspension,4 link suspension with a narrowed Dana 60 rear axle to accept pro street tires, and comes with a chopped '69 Camaro body mastered from the R/M kit......'Z'
  3. Ken is a good guy,his resin is top notch, and has good turn around. He has been known to wear strange hats tho.........'Z'
  4. Read Cranky's article, and pay close attention to his use of magnets. I've been using them for years to hold my model's hoods in place(both shut and open),only I get mine from www.amazingmagnets.com - I think they would work well holding 'opening' doors closed,too.........'Z'
  5. PURTY good lookin,Bub!...All your mods work together well,it'flows' !....'Z'
  6. CAREFUL,Kdog.....you're thinkin more like me every day (GRIN).......SHARP lookin build all the way around.............the'Z'man
  7. I like the ground scrapin stance, and the wheels.....you don't see those wheels much any more!....Over all,a well built piece...........the'Z'man
  8. If it was me,I'd leave it ALL purple....but since it's not, what about a bright green 'big' metalflake roof?
  9. That REALLY looks sharp !...I wonder why we don't see more of these built up;its a GREAT looking model.........'Z'
  10. I'm sorry; I think you're tryin to do a good thing here, but I read your post 5 times, still don't understand it,and now my eyes hurt. Here's a few tips for you?....Learn how to use capital letters, learn how to structure a sentence, and study up on punctuation....In other words, basic eighth grade grammar. Not asking anyone to be perfect;Lord knows I'm not-but somebody needs to take this stick and run with it..Steven Zimmerman
  11. Um.......HUH ?Yu asked for advice;you GOT advice. (and GOOD advice at that !)I read nothing in the posts replying to your query that could be construed as negative....Did I miss something here?
  12. The only thing I would add,is-make sure you sand the body BEFORE you apply the bondo or filler, for maximum adherence. I usually use 320 grit wet or dry,or hit it with a sanding stick.NOTHING worse then to have putty 'pull up' when you're in the finishing stage of a model.BTW,some auto fillers are formulated to be applied OVER primer, for best adhesion........'Z'
  13. I like that;it's clean and simple. What did you use to paint it?
  14. Brad,what kit(s) are those out of- I may have a couple sets.......Steve Z
  15. That's some pretty darn good work,IMHO.........'Z'
  16. YESSSSSSS !...I've been waitin......'Z'
  17. After my last post,I googled 'Maisto' and was really surprised at what they have available............I also googled 'Jada toys"....again,lots of stuff available there.......'Z'
  18. You might want to check out the Maisto 'G Rides' line of stuff; I've found most of those have around 17"-20" wheels, with a fairly realistic tire too. A lot of the diecast stuff has inaccurate looking tires;you have to REALLY check closely and they are not packaged so that you can tell without opening them.
  19. Which of the 'Big time muscle' series did you get? I've picked up a couple of the '69 Camaros and have thought about a few others, but our Walmart has a limited selection. Actually, their selection of ANY diecast has been very limited for about 2 years ,now......'Z'
  20. Throw an old rim or something of a comparable size in your pocket to use as a comparison when you go shopping/for example a quarter; a fender washer....'Z'
  21. Sharp looking camaro. I especially like the serpentine pulley system. I've wanted to tackle a belt system like that and couldn't figure it out but the pic you showed of the front of the engine will help me out tremendously!..thanks !.....'Z'
  22. ....SWEET !...Well done.
  23. ......um,that's 'of COURSE',not 'of corse'....DUH......
  24. The only thing I would add..In the'real' automotive world (or '1/1i as we sometimes call it) it's a pretty much hard and fast rule: Street Rod/1948 and older....Street machine/ 1949 and newer. Now,you could have a 'Pro Street' 32 Ford Street Rod, but you could NOT have a Pro Street '55 Chevy 'Street Rod'.... [unless ,of corse, you entered a model in an IPMS contest] (GRIN)........'Z'
