This truck is designed to sit on the R/M 37 ford frame. ........I THINK(not sure) the AMT Wagonrod frame will work also.... -
NNL Nationals
Steven Zimmerman replied to Randy Kern's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Randy,it was great meeting you;maybe next time we can bullship longer......'Z' -
All this may be well and fine, but I just tried all of the above, and NONE of these made my superglue set up any faster. I'll stick with accelerator, applied with a toothpick;I never use the spray nozzle that comes with the bottle;goes a lot further.....

Ryan, there was a tradition in days past, for there to be a pre dawn swap meet in the parking lot next to the Red Roof inn. Sometimes it was big, sometimes it was not.....I've known people that sold parts of their stash here in the wee hours of the morn on saturday,to raise enough money to go to the NNL,others just selling before the'Toledo' swap meet, hoping to get a head start on the mad rush,so to speak. Anywhoo,I've gone every year, and picked up a bargain ( or 4 or 5 or...) so it's worth it for me. Plus, seein El Camino Billy with his flashlight hat,and meetin people in the frosty dark when ya oughta be catchin up on yer beauty sleep is just....NEET !!

The "BEST" 1970 Chevelle SS 454 Kit?
Steven Zimmerman replied to Dragline's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
In my opinion, the most accurate BODY for a 70 Chevelle is in the 'snap kit' version tR/M does with the molded in in hood, but the cowl induction hood isn't quite right.Other then that,I don't like ANY of them, would LOVE to see a new tooling by somebody..... -

I remember. On the way home frome Erie Pa this afternoon I saw avery emotional thing. The local Reserves are returning from Iraq today, after a year's deployment in Iraq's 'inner cities'. they left (or are leaving Fort Dix shortly)They are the only reserve brigade to be equipped with Strykers. They will be coming across I-80,then up I-79 to the Saegertown exit, and then north on local roads to their Cambridge Springs base To make a long story short, the 15 miles of highway from the I-79 exit all the way to their base are decorated(on both sides of the road) with American flags every 20 feet, every telephone pole has a yellow ribbon around it,most all houses have a big flag hangin on the porch or in the yard.It definately had a lump in my throat.Btw,they lost several members of their unit over there........ -
New Resin From ScaleDreams

Man, gotta get some of those seats!....Rick,you gonna be in Toledo?.... -
My take on it....I'm 58 years old,and have 3 vehicles in the driveway. (1) a Toyota Scion. (2) a 73 Dodge Challenger (3) a 79 Malibu wagon. The Scion is the best everyday driver I've ever owned. I can get a full load of stuff to sell at the Toledo NNL,two guys and their week end luggage, steps right along at 80 MPH AND pulls down 40 mpg on the interstate. The Challenger is a toy. Has to use premium, gets about 12 mpg, runs like a raped ape with 'all the right stuff' from the 70's Handles like ######,can't get in or out of it without being a contortionist. My wife still doesn't understand the manual choke. Malibu wagon has a warmed over 327/350,ralley wheels and white letter tires, dual exhausts, painted black. Uses premium also, gets about 20 mpg if I keep my foot of it, Handles surprisingly well, thought it handled well in the snow, till I got my Scion. I love the new Challenger and Camaro, but would have to give up my Modelling hobby to own on; Used Magnum wagons are starting to fall into my price range. I think you'll find most people on this board fall into this catagory(sp?) We all love the hot fast sexy cars, and may have one in the garage...but in reality,we drivean econobox everyday....The parking lot where I work(Channellock inc) is full of trucks, mainly, although I see this changing as the price of gas creeps up again. Lots of SUV's too,out of 450 people working there, maybe 10'sporty' cars, mainly in the (mis)management parking lot.To the average Joe,the car IS an appliance, you use it and throw it away like a box of tissues.....

1932 ford
Steven Zimmerman replied to E St. Kruiser50's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
...Looks like someone took a beautiful car.........and gave it a wedgie...... -
This is a beautiful model with a lot of work in it. Beautiful paint and a sharp color! I like the flowing front fenders, and the engine is cool and unique ! However,I think it stops'flowing' where the rear fenders start; mayhap I would have filled in the rear wheel opening at the leading edge, and pulled it out a 'lil bit to match the heaviness of the front fenders. Just my opinion (grin)......
