  1. Sometimes FACEBOOK does some strange things, which I can not control. - And I do NOT understand why it would tell you I don't receive messages here on the forum ? If you're on face book, send me a friend request, and PM me to let me know. If I get requests that show nothing in their history and give no personal info, I do not respond. And, while I'm on the subject - is anyone else getting inundated with friend requests from members of the opposite sex, yet have absolutely NOTHING on their home page ?....Getting to be a pain............'Z' And no smart comments from YOU, Don Yost.......
  2. And I try to answer every PM addressed to me here on the forum.
  3. Bill, if I did not answer , then I did not receive it.......'Z'
  4. Search for Steven Zimmerman ; most have no trouble finding me......'Z'
  5. My take, doors that 'fell away' at the top were much harder to hinge at the front. Usually the rear edge of the door was vertical, or almost, making the door more easily hinged at the rear. Case in point - 32 Ford, taking what I said into consideration, notice the difference in where the door is hinged, in relation to the shape of the door..........?
  6. Perry's is / was the only source I know of. I was fortunate to get one, years ago....'Z'
  7. I have made literally hundreds of molds , and have never stripped the chrome from the masters I used. I have never had the chrome lift - in fact I prefer to use parts already chromed.....'Z'
  8. I also wanted one in the past, but never seemed to get one - when this re issue came out, I grabbed two of them. Only thing I may change other than wheels and tires, is lower I and get rid of the front metal axle- possibly a panel delivery.
  9. We bought a brand new white XB in 2005, and frankly, it's the best daily driver I have ever owned. Consistently pulls 40 plus MPG on the highway; roomy, comfortable, good stereo, AC, power windows, for under 15 grand brand new......Looks small, but I can get 40 2x4x8's in it ( if I leave the wife at home) and it's taken me to the Toledo NNL, NNL east, and a lot of other shows; I'm quite happy with it.............
  10. Put a thin black wash on those lug nuts and they will POP !.....I'm lovin this build, by the way.........'Z'
  11. Our local Green Apple gas / convenience store cards everyone for cigarette purchases - company policy, no exceptions; and they scan your I.D. card every time - no ID, no cigarettes.............
  12. Great job ! I have passed on this kit, may have to find a few........'Z'
  13. Howdy Joe; live a few miles north of you in Meadville Pa........'Z'
  14. KRYLON offers a large variety of colors, that resemble '50's' colors, but many are 'matte' or flat. However, these can be clearcoated with the end result being a nice, shiny color.
  15. I used ALUMILITE for over 4 years; switched to VAGABOND, out of Chicago a year ago and am very very happy with it..........'Z'
  16. One of the older AMT 32 Ford kits had a wheel very similar......'Z'
  17. Try KRYLON 'Matte' Aluminium, just bought a can so it's out there, and if you let it dry a couple days it's pretty durable.......'Z'

  19. Thanks, everyone !...Big 65 now......'Z'
  20. Hmmm, on the ralley wheels I own in 1/1, the trim ring on the 15 / 7 , 15 / 8 and 14 / 7, the factory trim rings are not larger then the steel wheel. I just went out and checked................
  21. Hobby lobby, A C Moore, Michaels, Jo Ann Fabrics, check out the little 'iron on ' thingies they sell for clothing adornment , available in several sizes, I buy em every time I visit these places.....'Z'
  22. I believe the 39 Chevy wheels shown above are Pontiac styled wheels ?
  23. I think these are larger diameter, aftermarket versions of the 70 1/2 Z/28 and 70 - 72 Chevelle wheels, available in 1/24 - 1/25th in 15 " only, as I recall.........'Z'
  24. I will be there vending, with 300 plus sets of ZSWHEELZ............See you there !
