  1. There was an article a number of years ago in Road & Track about a 'model builder' that was facinating. It centered on ths builder and his super realistic cars. Turned out, he stole real cars and actually shrunk them down. Wish I had that article. It was very well written. Juha's cars remind me of that. Perry
  2. Oh, my. Aluminium siding. Perry
  3. Looking really nice. How about a bare metal foil surface? That would look sweet. Perry
  4. Very cool. Good for her, and it's a nice clean build. Something I'm still working at doing. Perry

    AMT '69 Corvair

I did like it. It was a Monza, with a 3 speed on the floor. Pretty sporty for a kid in high schrool. Perry
  6. Yeah, FDS are not really great quality. Same or worse with John Day. Great progress and they can be made to look great. A set of BBR wires would dress it up. Perry

    AMT '69 Corvair

Very nice. I did the same thing with the '69. Mine was a '65 and it was a four door. Had to do some surgery. Used a '67 Camaro top. Close enough. Mine I got for $75, only needed a battery. I sold it a few months later for$150 to the neighbors so I could buy a TR4. The right front wheel fell off it after I sold it. Kind of awkward with the neighbors for a while. Now I have to do a TR4. Perry
  8. Some more progress. Tameo kits are engineered well, and go together like Tamiya kits, just smaller. They are intense, need to only work on it a few hours then walk away. There is photo etch sides to the cockpit, and the brakes are made of 6 pieces. I like the vented detail. Hard to see. Perry
  9. It is 1/43. I am trying to get better at clean building. I have to have patience, and use tools. Perry
  10. Starting work on the Tameo Williams FW07, Regazzoni. It’s pretty simple, no engine. Nice detail and fit, typical Tameo high quality. The green decal looks all wrinkly but it looks great in person. Perry
  11. Let me check. I may have a spare. Is it like the McLaren M23 style? What is it closest to in diameter and width. Perry
  12. That really came out pretty. Nice job. Perry
  13. Bruce, Here's a freshly painted 330 Gt in Nocciola. Damn sexy. Perry
  14. Just getting back to post the finish of this car. Was a fun build. Pictures of final assembly and with big brother. Perry
  15. Bruce, look forward to seeing it. Should be spectacular. Perry
  16. Nice, it does have the copper undertones. It looks great on many vintage Ferrari's. Perry
  17. This is my vote on color. Dare to be different. It's called Nocchiola.
  18. That's Tameo's line, World Champion Tameo. All F1 World champs. Super kits. More detail than normal Tameo kits. Perry
  19. Started another Tameo WCT kit. Lotus 25 of Jim Clark. Much more simple than other WCT kits, but still lots of detail. As always, Tameo quality. Perry
  20. I contacted someone on that and they are working on a 3D print TR4, which I also had, and a TR6. I'll have to follow up and see what's happening. I have a 1/18 scale die cast that I am building like my car. Only one besides 1/43 I know of so far. I like to get one too. My wife likes to ride in mine, but likes her Z4 to drive better. Perry
  21. Wow, the decals all look like PE in the pictures. I may have to get this kit too. I've had my 6 since '77. Did a frame off about 25 years ago. I keep the top down and drive it every day there's no rain. Better get one before you retire and stash it and stock up on parts. Perry
  22. Thanks Steve. I appreciate it. And Steve did a great job packing the built ups for their trip across the pond. Great person on our board. Perry
  23. Really nice build, beautifully done. Did you use painted aftermarket PE logos? If so, which ones? Perry
  24. I have to recuse myself. Almost didn't remember this one. Perry
  25. Finished up. Pretty happy with it. On to a McLaren M23 super kit. Perry
