If 1/43 is your thing, there are some available. They are typically white metal and pretty decent. Perry

Thanks Robert. I agree. I know a guy that is going to do a TR4 in 1/24th, easy to do a TR250 off that. I've only seen 6's in 1/43 and 1/18. Perry

Thanks guys. I do enjoy the 1:1. That's my son driving with his fiancés boy. I've had that car since '77, and my son will inherit it. Perry

Am working on my TR6. I have 1:1 of this and want to do a replica. Got a 1/18 die cast and am changing it to look like mine. Some progress. Color is Mimosa Yellow, interior is Chestnut. Have to figure out the wheels and tires and the Union Jack by the tail lights. Perry

Little update. Got some chrome trim done on the Corvair. Getting close to starting assembly. Want to bare metal foil the trim.

I talked to someone recently that he is printing a 1/24 scale TR4, which I had, and want a kit of. He's also going to do a TR6 kit. I'm going to want that one too. Perry

Thanks Trevor. Hadn't planned on but maybe should. I have to re-make the dash in wood to convert to LHD. Looking for Minilite style wheels too. Perry

Thanks Steve. My first time doing that kind of work. It turned out pretty well. I have Fireballs door handles and can't wait to get the painted and on. Perry

Got some color on it. Will clear over the weekend. Color represents Madeira Maroon. Will have a Fawn interior. Also working on my TR6. Is a diecast, making it into my 1:1 car. Perry

Really sharp. How did you do the window net? Perry

Thanks guys. I've got to get more time on it. Perry

Thanks. I’ve never done anything like this before. Just built out of the box. Lots of fun. Need to scribe new lines now. Perry

Been a while, but a little progress. Put some primer on after putty to see what I have to do yet. Looks ok so far. I have door handles from Fireball and they look great. Need to scribe the new doors and fill the old ones. Perry

Bill, Have you had a chance to use any of the burs you got from me? I'd think they'd do well on the die cast as well as plastic. Interested to hear what you think. Perry -
Engine compartment looks real. Very nice. Great paint job too. Perry

Good idea, but when I put a strip on the under side, the gap is just right to fill with a strip of Evergreen. Almost done with the filling and then will put some putty on. Perry

Using Testors solvent, I glued the top on. It lines up well in back and the sides, but I’ve come up short mating it to the Corvair roof. I plan on putting a thin strip of Evergreen inside the roof across the top. Then, fill in the gap. Not sure if I can fill it with some strips of Evergreen and use solvent. Any suggestions? Perry

More progress on the Corvair. Now I have to figure out how to glue it together. What do you guys use, and what technique do you use? Perry

Thanks for the tips. I appreciate them. Perry

I'm making a 4 door Corvair from a 2 door, and I need to add door handles, and move the front ones. Is there a source for handles, or is there a way to cast the ones on the car before I sand them off? Perry

I didn't see a sedan, only a convertible. When I looked, it only went to page 12. I'll have to look again. Perry

Thanks Dave. Yes, any reference is good. i think I'll have to make the back window bigger too. Perry

Performed surgery. Patient looks good. The fit should be good, but the Camaro top is just a little wider. May have to cut down the center and narrow it. Need to flatten the back by the hood in back and graft in the louvered panel from the Corvair. Doesn’t fit too bad. Will keep most of the Corvair top and trim the Camaro top just ahead of the C pillars. Perry

No pictures of my car, but I can google some 4 doors online though. Perry
