  1. Yes, but the manifold is like a unicorn. Wait, I don’t want a unicorn ? And wow am I excited about a model of the M119. I really wish I could get a look at that manifold. It makes me wonder about cutting up the upper half of the factory manifold to get a supercharger manifold. Making one like in the pic could eliminate the heat soak issue with a supercharger between cylinder banks.
  2. Oh dang. I must have one. As a street car.
  3. This intake manifold and supercharger for a Mercedes-Benz M119 DOHC V-8. And a good M119, also. That engine is built by Stern Garage in Germany. They don’t sell the manifold by itself, just a complete engine for US $25k
  4. Two sets of Learjet 23 tip tanks sent by Priority Mail. I don’t need anything for them. Just help someone else out when you can.
  5. This magazine has an article by Bob Steinbrunn on detailing a Williams Brothers 1/8 scale engine. It’s a radial, not a rotary, but a cool article nonetheless. I believe he had an article on a rotary, also. He even built a display stand that looks like one that would hold a real engine in a museum. https://finescale.com/issues/1991/january-1991
  6. I don’t need anything. It would be cool to see photos of your projects. I’m about to get started on this in 1/48. The decal sheet says 1/32. I got markings for these two planes in two scales.
  7. I copied your address. It would be a good idea remove that info from your post. Someone with bad intentions might use it.
  8. Just telling you what happened when I posted a pic of a taboo subject I bought with a really pretty crest.
  9. Also the thing that’s in the safe is taboo. You might get threatened with being banned just for mentioning it.
  10. I have two of these that I bought for parts. I don’t need the tip tanks. You’re welcome to them.
  11. I just came back to say I bought one of those. I can’t wait for it to arrive. It has been years since I used an airbrush, and it was hobby enamels for military planes. I’m really looking forward to using lacquers.
  12. Air volume is not a problem with a 3000psi nitrogen tank.
  13. What is a good choice for painting 1/8 scale cars, 1/16 tanks, 1/18 planes, etc? I have a regulator to get low pressure from nitrogen tanks, FWIW. Thanks
  14. That would be one heck of an impressive model. I mean gee, with good cross-section drawings, it would be *somewhat* easy to make. It think it could also be done as a 3D print, in multiple pieces. I say go for it. People would remember it forever.
  15. It would be fourteen feet long in 1/25.
  16. Scale Finishes it is. They’re mixing up a match for this airplane. Thank you for the advice.
  17. The company was bought by a guy in Round Rock, Texas. He reissued some kits. I bought several racers and engines. That has been several years ago. I don’t know if any more were reissued.
  18. I suppose it’s just an easy way to get back into airbrushing.
  19. I’m looking for colors not available in Tamiya cans. What brand and source should I look for? Thanks. Lee
  20. Tamiya and Eduard are both great kits. I have built a couple of Tamiya F-51Ds (Korean War box). They go together with minimal fuss. Tamiya make a 1/32 P-51D, but it is pretty expensive. Tamiya also make a 1/48 P-51B. There no good 1/32 P-51B kits. All have issues. The Revell kit goes all the way back to 1969. The F-51D represents the change from Army Air Force to an independent branch. It also has an “uncuffed” propellor. Most D models had cuffs or sleeves at the base of each blade. The uncuffed prop would be the one to use for most P-51 racing planes. Draw Decals sell decals for several racing planes. On the Eduard boxes, some say Profi Pack and others say Weekend Edition. The Profi Pack kits have photoetched parts, including an instrument panel that is painted. It’s jewel-like. Revell of Germany makes a 2017 new-tool 1/32 P-51D. Two versions; early and late. The early version does not have a fillet for the vertical stabilizer. The late model does. Some were modified in the field to get the fillet. It aided in stability. The Revell kit is a lot less expensive than the Tamiya kit. A little less detail, but IMHO, a lot of bang for the buck. If you are modeling a specific airframe, check your reference info. Most P-51s had wing panel lines filled in and painted a silver color. It had a new type airfoil; the “laminar flow” wing. Of course it still has access to the gun bays and fuel fillers. If you want pics of the Eduard Profi Pack kit (unassembled) let me know. I can take pics later tonight…I think I have a Profi-Pack, anyway.
  21. Wow! So many cool planes. I must go there one day. Thanks for the photos!
  22. So I was listening to Never Gonna Let You Go on YouTube and wondered what car Sergio Mendes was sitting in. The thread title has my best guess. Does anyone here know? Also- they really knocked it out of the park with that song. Such a great duet about second chances.
