  1. I did look on eBay for those two. I want the supercharger for a kitbash Mercedes model. If there’s not a good one in a kit, does anybody offer one in resin or 3D print? Worst case scenario, I could take measurements off a real supercharger and scratchbuild one.
  2. This has me thinking about a custom intake manifold. The sheet metal efi front inlet tunnel ram type. Have charge air exit an air to air intercooler and go straight to the manifold, where water/methanol can cool it further. The factory manifold makes the air take a tortuous path. It works. Some guys in Sweden crammed a bunch of boost into the factory manifold and made 1000hp.
  3. I have some parts from past projects; including a rebuilt supercharger from an ‘03-‘04 Cobra and the heat exchanger for its inter cooler in the manifold. The blower also has a longer snout from a Lightning pickup. Is there any reason why a car could have an air to air intercooler in the nose and air to water in the manifold? (For turbos or centrifugal supercharger). That would be one crazy induction setup.
  4. It’s a 1990 Mercedes-Benz M119; a 4-cam 32-valve V8 with forged internals and 322hp. I’m planning on forced induction. Some guys in Sweden got 1000hp from this type engine. The car has a 2.6 liter inline-6 with 158hp now. Not much to look at while wrapped in plastic. It was shipped to my employer because they can unload it from a big rig. That’s the best photo I can get while not there myself. I’m pretty excited ??
  5. It could also be inspiration for other shipping container conversions. I’ve driven by that thing many times. I never noticed it was a trailer until I stopped for lunch last week.
  6. The seller told me about a young guy who wanted to turn it into a “sleeper” (he couldn’t remember the word). He wouldn’t sell it to that guy. I shook my head and said “kids today”. I didn’t tell him that this 51 year old will turn it into a sleeper.
  7. I had one when I was a soldier stationed in Germany. It was a good little car. It had a 2.3L four cylinder and manual transmission. I could drive it a couple of hours at a time at 125mph on the Autobahn. I recently stumbled across a video of one with a Chevy LS. That was interesting. Research showed that an LS swap requires fabrication beyond my skill level, but a Mercedes V-8 can drop in with off-the-shelf parts. A stand-alone ecu is a good idea. Used Mercedes M-113 engines are not very expensive, so I plan to do that swap. Here is the car. It will be dropped off at my house next Friday. I did go look at it and drive it. It’s not in showroom condition, but it’s a 34 year old project car. I like the style of street rods and street machines, but I have to confess, I like pretty much everything else about more modern cars. Plus, I think this is a nice looking car.
  8. I want to build a 190E with M113 engine swap. AMG supercharged would be really cool.
  9. This is where I got lunch today. I’ve driven by it a hundred times, but never stopped until today. I was surprised to see that gooseneck.
  10. I meant for turbochargers making more horsepower than the factory supercharger. Edited the thread title.
  11. Let’s say it’s a factory supercharger. Could a budget semi-custom manifold be made removing the rotors, with a block off plate for the throttle body and an inlet to replace the snout? Thanks. Cheapskate in Chillicothe
  12. I got an old book called “ Rolling Homes” that has home made RVs. Several started as 1948 International big rigs or lwb trucks. Does anybody make a resin cab? Are there any 1/16 resin cabs from that era? thanks. Lee
  13. A White 3000 bus? Wow, that is cool. Good job on it , too. ??
  14. I think this search might be more trouble than it’s worth. The guy at MCW said I would need to get info on the color. That makes perfect sense, but it would be a lot less trouble to mix something myself and shoot for a match with the box art.
