  1. This has been going on for a long time. Ten years ago, I worked for a company that would have two guys in call at all times. One was the primary guy and one was the backup. Calls went to the primary, unless he told the answering service he had too many calls. The calls would go to backup guy. I was always partnered up with guys who only answered the phone when they felt like it…so basically, primary all the time. It was all ok with the boss. The dirtbags never got in trouble.
  2. Unreliable coworkers. I’m a plumber. Three of us are on duty. One called in sick. One is not answering his phone. I get so tired of this.
  3. I think the article was 1988-1990, possibly a little later.
  4. That old article was in Scale Auto Enthusiast or maybe Car Modeler. The build was by Don Fahrni, who was (still is??) famous for building super detailed drag cars.
  5. Honda four cylinder chopper? Anyone want the Monte Carlo that comes with it?
  6. Would a shortened V-16 work? I have several unbuilt 1930s Cadillacs with V-16s. I’m not big on displaying engines. If you could use one, let me know.
  7. Some places are taking pre orders, like Spot Model https://www.spotmodel.com/product_info.php?products_id=56585&language=en I’ve ordered books from them. Great folks. Buy with confidence.
  8. Imaginationland? I think these kind of photoshops/renderings are lame. They often lack imagination or taste.
  9. An orange funny car. I think it was a Vega. Around 1974. I would have been five years old. I would like to show the box art, but…I was five and I just don’t remember much more. Just two or three years later, I learned a valuable lesson about following the instructions. It was the Monogram MiG-15. I glued both upper wing halves together.
  10. Maybe I am going nuts. I didn’t see it there.
  11. I know I’m not going nuts. I remember a European big rig that had icebergs/arctic sea graphics painted on it. Italeri made a model of it. What was it called? How can I find it? It was pretty cool. I saw the real thing on the Autobahn several times. Thanks. Lee
  12. Thank you.
  13. I got mine also. The Pontiac from Japan is beautiful. The photography is, as well. I’m really happy to see it in print again.
  14. Stephen King’s “The Shining”. I read it about 30 years ago. I always sleep on my right side. While I was reading that book, I slept with my head at the foot of the bed so I could watch for that purple lady. “The Dead Zone” was good, also.
  15. I saw the D8506 in a store recently.
  16. I’m definitely following this. I have the Tamiya 1/24 kit. I really want the MFH. I’m a big fan of the car and the engine. The race version and the production M119.
  17. Did the Model K use the same chassis as other Lincolns in 1938? I’m asking because I saw the most beautiful car on Chasing Classic Cars tonight. It was a model K coupe with body by LeBaron. It there is a resin or 3D model of that car, I would love to get one. If someone could point me towards a book about the Model K, that would be great, too. Here’s the car. Wayne Carini removed the chrome grill shell and replaced it with a correct body color shell, and removed the whitewall tires.
  18. Don’t tell Italeri I said this, but…
  19. Wow. I never knew that. I have one that is two bodies mated together for a stretch van with tandem axles and a smooth roof. I want to make it look like a modern take on a ‘70s van.
  20. I hope this works… https://www.instagram.com/reel/CgNncXPvwIZ/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= This is such a cool idea. I like ‘70s style custom vans, but not enough to build a real one. In scale, though…it would be a nice touch. Also- Tamiya has a 1/12 remote control Dodge van with a body made of styrene. It looks pretty good. It’s called “Vanessa’s Lunchbox”. You can find the bodies on eBay.
  21. Anything more than “coming soon”?
  22. Thank you. I was thinking Chevelle, but I didn’t know ‘68/‘69 was separate from ‘70/‘72.
  23. I saw this at a job site today. A buddy and I were trying to figure it out. I’m thinking GM circa 1970ish. He thinks it’s from a big Ford.
  24. I’m glad I found this thread. I decided to just jump into the deep end with a die cast project. I don’t know if I would have thought of Milliput, even though I have used a lot of it on styrene projects. Nice work on the pickup, BTW.
