  1. the above is from a weekly mail i get from the Jimbo Berkey old movie & television site. i thought the links would still work, but "not". site is here: http://free-classic-movies.com/index.php
  2. he did other stuff too guys!
  3. i do believe the site i found this was a source for model railroading accessories. despite their reputation for 'rivet counting', there's probably a 90% membership that will accept a 'plausible' solution. can't say either is right, but it's interesting to see how different people view things.
  4. ..... wife doesn't let me paint in my man cave .... so ... it's really an "ours" cave? cave-ette?
  5. beamed up

  7. that's great design. the rear fenders match perfectly.
  8. i take it no one picked up the ball
  9. ha ha. a couple of years ago some kid joined and begged for free stuff so he could start a hobby (no money, hobby shops, parents - the whole package.) so BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH fool me sent him 2 or 3 unstarted kits (one was a bedford tipper!) and a half dozen new cans of tamiya spray in a variety of colors. never heard back from the little urchin. and i still haven't learned my lesson, but it's starting to sink in ..... maybe in a few more years i'll catch on!
  10. this is from the Moon Fuel systems & Accessories catalog reprint included in the Rodders Journal set. if there's any interest, i'll scan more pages.
  11. i think any freelance form of modeling carries artistic license. some types of weathered models show actual patterns which would occur in nature. simply taking a model, whether ship, plane, or train, and simply slathering an even coat of goop over its entirety, is hardly a realistic rendition of a languished species.
  12. i really don't think you are. and i'd like to take the opportunity to say i hope things turn around for you in a positive manner soon. if the Forum can have a pinned thread with resin/ aftermarket suppliers, why not a list of hobby groups that would accept donations? forum members send in the contact information, everyone prints the list and thumbtacks it to the bulletin board in their hobby room. this doesn't necessarily have to be used in the event of eventual demise, but through life interests change. it's a way of keeping stuff where it belongs and with people who will use it.
  13. i do find the weathered sign painting interesting.
  14. did production ever get in motion with this line of parts? went to the Fotki site but became more confused. btw: is the Plymouth station wagon a one-off, or did you cast it for resale? thanks
  15. anyone know the type of engine and (2-part question) the suitability of adapting it? snipped from this page: http://www.larrygscale.com/MOTOR-BLOCK-STRAIGHT-6-CIRCA-20S_p_36.html thanks
  16. i figured this out when i was eight years old: if you open the box from the bottom, you can have the prize while you eat the first bowl!
  17. "... this salad is delicious ..."
  18. anyone know what file is being used at 5:32 minutes into this video? looks more like a wood working float than any hobby file i've seen. thanks
