  1. me, too. always like those rally Comets.
  2. LB - any chance you could post the link for that schematic? i tried to zoom and even at 500% it's not readable (to me, anyway). then i did a google search and came up with stuff like this which, while somewhat legible isn't too much help for us neophytes! thanks
  3. well ... using little girls to sell T-shirts is hardly appropriate either, but i have to think the original comment parallels the Hari-Davison mantra "...if you have to ask, you'll never get it..."
  4. You don't tug on superman's cape You don't spit into the wind You don't pull the mask off that old lone ranger And you don't mess around with Jim http://www.lyricsfreak.com/j/jim+croce/you+dont+mess+around+with+jim_10149470.html
  5. i'm sure he values you as a customer.
  6. sounds glib, but "at least no one was hurt". stinks, though.
  7. i've wanted to try the Model Masters. Q: over the life of the contents, does the applicator stay "sharp"? - unclogged and not needing to be cut back. i don't want to go through the hassle of the long tube things that need to be filled over again; forgot their name but made by Flexi-file people i think
  8. door panel, as well as everything else, looks fine
  9. yes, but a great looking take on a classic kit.
  10. maybe, but his use of little girls in the ads are creepy enough to keep me away
  11. i've watched YouTube videos where the guys just slip on a disposable glove and go to it with the airbrush or rattle can.
  12. where's this alleged valance everyone's talking about? is it the filler between the bumper & grille?
  13. i find the less clutter around, the better i feel
  14. i think that's called "modelers' ADD". not be concerned, we're all a bit touched. it comes and goes. this is why it's best to be able to put a build away for a spell until inspiration rekindles. this discourages some and rejuvenates others. in the off times, buy more kits!
  15. chopsticks from Chinese take-out (always ask for extras) with alligator clamps epoxied to the tapered end. pillaged from here: http://tyler.provick.ca/blog/part-holders-painting/
  16. reading a thread where the builder has become frustrated at his inability to produce perfection somehow reminded me of this: blatantly copied from here: http://progress-is-fine.blogspot.com/2015/02/how-to-be-machinist.html
  17. yeah; you gotta chill. this is 10x better than most. let's put everything in perspective, now. and remember ....... breathe!
  18. bet the firmes go for that, eh?
  19. let's hope he'll do up a webpage with pichers'n'stuff
  20. really ... no well wishes for the hard working couple? i say "good for them" and hope they enjoy another 35 years doing whatever makes 'em happy. let's not be so self centered.
