  2. this is a fun reference book: the downside is that the printing is so darn small. interestingly, wooden spars were carved and wired to the tie rods to cut down on cavitation. lots of good info for early ford speedsters.

  9. let's not be getting confused by allowing the "f" word into the conversation. how could I ever explain to my cousin (who got me hooked on models when I was 6 - yes, 55 years ago) that he was so wrong to have all those shelves covered with unpainted, box stock, models? he's crank out a kit with fingernail clippers and an emery board, never even touching a paint brush, in about an hour and a half on a rainy afternoon. now, i'll have to call him and explain we never really did have as much fun as we thought and our youth was indeed wasted!

  16. I have (2) basically new Optivisors free for postage reimbursement if anyone wants them. a #4 & #10. complete units, not just the lens. first PM gets them.

  19. maybe they don't build as an obsession, but just as a diversion from a thousand other things in their lives?
  20. at the model railroad division of Southpier Enterprises, we use it to clean brass and de-fuzz stripwood after it's been treated with weathering solution or painted. keep it on the bench and the uses will present themselves.
