Thanks everyone for all the feedback, really appreciate it!

Just finished this box stock build. Paint is MCW Viking Blue Met. enamel with Acme 2K clear. Nice kit with almost no fit issues. Did have to heat the chassis a little for some minor warping. I try to do a box stock build after a detailed build just for the fun of it. Got a couple of detailed builds on the bench right now, so may have to stick in another box stock in a little while. LOL

Super clean build. Great paint and love the dropped look! -
Another beautiful build! This is one of my favorite Sox & Martin cars.

Followed you on YouTube with this one and you made a great choice going with the gray primer and clearing it. Looks great!

Very cool to see one of these built. Great job!

That is soo cool, absolutely incredible build. Details like the parachute bracket are just next level!

Super cool Mike! Love the engine bay tin work and the window partially down is such a cool detail. Not surprised though, I saw your cars at the HMCA show a few weeks ago and they were all awesome too!

This is super cool. What a great build. Love the work on the body like the little cut outs for the headers and the scoop.

Thanks Daniel, I love the look of the old magnesium wheels.

Thanks Ed, yeah I am very happy with the way this one came out.

Thanks John, yeah I have no idea why they ever thought the slot/tab hood was a good idea. Other than that, they are nice kits. Below are a few other pics as you requested.

Wow, that's a great build! Super clean and dead on.

Just as everyone has said, absolutely beautiful model Chang! -
Awesome builds from this kit Garry! Love the color choices and styles you picked. Really gets the vintage drag vibe. I did this kit with the Fiat as a 60's Drag/Show version and the dragster as a bare bones low budget racer.

Thanks everyone, this was a car that I wanted to build for a long time and really enjoyed working on it. I kind of stumbled onto the color. I started with Tamiya Gold, but it was too bright, so I found an old bottle of Testors Model Master gold that looked darker and more like the real car. I thinned it out and had just enough to do a couple of coats. It turned out to be a very close match to the pictures that I had (sometimes you get lucky!).

This is the second model that I ended up finishing in the beginning of August. Made using the Revell 62 Impala SS Hardtop kit. This is a really nice kit. Supposedly only 18 of these factory lightweights were built and there are only two known to still exist. The Chevy lightweights were a response to the Pontiac aluminum front end cars. The hood, front fenders and front bumper were all alluminum. This car was only raced a few times then put away in storage. It has been to auction a few times in the last 10 years or so and is just the way it was when it was put into storage. Paint is Tamiya TS-26 Pure White. Decals are from SMP and tires from an AMT parts pack. Details/Modifications: Prewired Distributor (Morgan Automotive Detail), Rear side windows added, Front fenders decals made, Grille opened up, Heater delete plate, Valve stems, Dipstick

I finished a couple of models in August and will be posting them both today. First up is this Willys gasser. This is made from the Revell Stone, Woods & Cook kit. I've had these decals from Scale Modeling by Chris for many years and just got around to building this. Some details below: Engine – Aluminum pulleys (from Offthesprue.com), various aluminum bolt heads including all valve cover bolts (RB Motion). Blower belt tensioner scratch built, upper radiator hose made from solder, Remote oil filter lines to block. Wired Magneto (Morgan Automotive Detail) Body – Hood tabs removed & fender slots filled in. Front grille filled in and decal created. Rear fendors shaved in front. Parachute cord and release cable. Yellow acetate side and back windows. Chassis – Brake lines added. Aluminum nut/bolt detail on rear leaf springs. Aluminum valve stems on rear wheels. Parts box front tires/wheels. Interior – Aluminum bare metal foil and semi-gloss black. Modified seats from parts box. Scratch built roll bar. Steering column mounted tach and column braces added.

Awesome build Craig! The black looks so good and it is such a clean build. I am currently working on this kit in Viking blue with white interior. I will post when finished. And most importantly, sorry for your loss. -
It was great seeing this car at the show yesterday, congrats Roger! This car looks even better in person, just an awesome build. Had a great time talking with you at the show.
