Thankyou for all the comments much appreciated No clear, no polishing.The finish is straight from the can. As they say preparation of the primer is the key factor,I wet sand the primer(Tamiya fine white) with 1200 up to 6000. Side trim is bmf and kit decal. I cut off the silver part on the side trim decals then applied the white portion .

I started this build in Dr Cranky's 3 day CB,but due to uncontrolled situations I was unable to complete it within the 3 days. So In the end I took my time and this is the result. Paint is my all time favourite Tamiya TS-14 gloss black. Interior was painted with Tamiya TS-49 bright red and overcoated with TS-80 flat clear. Basically its oob, just lowered a bit, Pegasus 1109 chrome Dz's wheels were fitted and used craft rhine stones for tail lights. I would have to say this is one of the best Revell kits ive built in a long time,minimal mold lines and parts fit was excellent which made it a joy to build.

Thankyou very much Paul and Virgil. Well Im way late for finishing my build. But it is now 99% complete just a few touch ups and issues to sort out, then final clean and photo shoot.Should be in the Under Glass section tomorrow.

Totally agree with you Virgil.They are cool trucks and being that they are basic/simplified kits makes them very enjoyable to build.I have a few more in the stash too,one day il build another one. Hey Shane, the Subaru was built from this Fujimi kit.

Thats what I reckon too, black and chrome are such a good combo. Mike the wheels on the Hilux are from the kit.

Two other things that I like to do to make my builds individual to me is apply Lead City Customs decals on the back window of my builds. And also take water reflective pics .

I would say my new found style is to paint my builds black.And I also try my hardest to build as clean as possible.

Im not a 100% certain or it could be just rumour at the moment, Nissan might use the Altima V8 sedan.

Count me in for sure. Currently working on a AMT 62 Chev Belair. Its not going to be over the top or have a flashy paint job, just going to look like a clean daily driver. Paint job is done,will post up some pics soon.

Well done to all you fella's that finished.Some excellent results for 3 day build ups. I stopped working on the Impala for a few days as I wanted to make the most of the very hot days we had last week and got another builds paint job done on. Currently the Impala has everything painted and now its just a matter of applying bmf and start final assembly.Hope to have it completed very soon. Tamiya TS-14 straight from the can finish.

Top job Paul a looks good. Im glad I decided join this CB too,even though I didnt finish.It has helped to get me out of a slump and motivated me to start building again.

Fit's the Bosozoku style well Shane,good job Well fella's judging by tomorrow's weather report,it aint going to be any better than it was today So consider me a non-finish'er for the this CB I will post the Impala Under Glass when completed,which should hopefully be by the end of the week. Keep at it ,hope you all get your builds done and look foward to seeing them.

Good work by all,everyone seems to be progressing well. I got the primer on the body wet sanded and is ready for paint also have all other parts mounted and ready for primer and paint. But Im currently at a stand still at the moment,had some rain here this morning and now its to humid to paint. Hope tomorrow is a better day for painting. So I dont think my build will be finished within the 3 day time frame,but il keep posting progress as it happens.

WOW ! you guys are cruising along. Paint job looks good Rob,not bad for straight out the can.I agree with you about tamiya paints.They are my prefered choice too Kyle and Charles your builds are progressing well. I got a bit side tracked with non model related stuff. But body has been prep sanded and currently soaking in dishwashing detergent,will get some primer on it after tea then let it dry overnight. Whilst the body drys il get evrything else prep'd and start some sub assemblies.Going be a late night need to catch up on lost time,and get everything ready for paint tomorrow. Keep at it fella's
