  1. Cool Hand

    8 for 2014

Done well Ray, thats 8 more than I done. 49 is my favourite.
  2. First I cold form/ bend the rod and hold at required angle then using a cigarette lighter flash the bend area a couple times to hold shape.
  3. Hey Bill, how about you go spend some time at your bench working on a build and finishing it. Then show us some of this excellence you strive to achieve from all the knowledge you have.
  4. For roll cages I use, Evergreen styrene rod. #212 2.0mm.
  5. Phenomenal work as always Shawn. The level of detail you achieve is mind blowing. Cant say ive ever seen the typical Aussie trailer with a gold hammer finish, all the ones ive come across and used in my life time have been blue.
  6. Done well mate, another clean detailed build to add to your collection/line up of Impala's.
  7. Supremes/Sovereigns do look good. But the wires get my vote.
  8. Great to see a different (not the usual) subject being chosen for a lowrider build, will be watching for sure.
  9. The belt/pulley mismatch you are referring to, is on the Novak Sidewinder build.
  10. Same ole, same ole with the usual suspects. That other topic title is really starting to have some meaning.
  11. Agree, tends to be double standards at times.
  12. And the discussion/debate go's on.......
  13. So are you doing them strictly box stock to enter in that category at the comp ?? If so will be interesting to watch you build these. I always wondered if you ever get burnt out doing full on detail builds one after the other.
  14. Yes feedback, advice and tips are a good thing. But im sure some people just post their builds for a place to share with others who enjoy the same hobby. As it can be an isolated hobby for some.
  15. Be good if some people spent as much time at their bench working a build, as they did on here.
  16. Another very impressive replica build. That is one seriously bad machine. Cant wait to see what you build next.
  17. Seems the same usual suspects, are the ones with the strongest opinions/views on this thread title. And from my view point its also seems in my opinion I was some what right with a comment I made else where.
  18. Very Impressive, dont often see many builds from you Cesar. But when you do share one it's always a clean quality build. You certainly put alot of work into this one and it show's.
  19. I guess its all about perception and how one interpret's the forum to form their own opinion/view of it through interactions they have. All in all this is a great forum to view and participate on, but like anywhere in life there are always the same usual suspects.Just have to accept the fact that they think, act and view things different. I could say more but its just my opinion and more than likely it would be wrong.
  20. Looks good from where im sitting, like the style you have achieved. Welcome to the big league's forum, where there is some un written rules as to the level and quality at which ones build must achieve in order to be a worthy of praise and comment and be accepted as a builder.(sarcasm) Personally dude, read and accept what people have to say and move on, if you can learn something from critique's or fault finders/nit pickers then so be it. Build how you want to build and enjoy the hobby for what it is, dont build to suit others opinions and expectations it will take the fun out it. Just try improve with each new build at your own pace and the more you build the better you will get. Once you been on here awhile you start to see how the people and the forum works, most people on here are cool and accept others varying skill levels. But there are some who feel and know they are above everyone else and expect others to build to a certain skill level, if you look hard enough and realise who's who chance's are you will see they dont build (just an arm chair experts), havent built a model for along time or build entirely different subjects. So with all that being said, expect some criticism from the big dog's but dont take it the wrong way. Basically they are just grumpy old men with too much time on their hands.
  21. The amount of parts that you have made, fabricated and machined from scratch is phenomenal. Absolutely mind blowing how much high quality detail this build has. No doubt this will get an award at the next GSL .
  22. As always clean detailed build with top quality paint work.
  23. The 48/215 (aka FX) was the first car Holden manufactured from 1948 -1953. The FJ was manufactured from 1953 - 1956.
  24. Not just today but ever day, I am irked at the consistent b.s the media put out as news.
