  1. Yes. Its worth the investment,as has been mentioned can be used for a vareity of assemblies/attachments of parts. Great for use on clear parts eg, headlight lenses, tail lights and windows.

  3. No doubt about it, you most certainly are the Scale Master. Many may try, but no one is on the same level of expertise when it comes to scratch building with various materials. Amazing amount of high quality craftsmanship and scale engineering.
  4. Wow, that is a serious case of form over function. I also will be looking forward to watching this build evolve.
  5. I like it, you painted it my favourite colour and have it riding low. Done well Richard.
  6. Makes me laugh when you guys in the US complain about fuel price's. Over here in Australia at the moment in my town we are paying around AU $1.54 per litre for regular unleaded, you do the math for converting that to gallon.
  7. Looks good Ray, cleanly built and very well detailed as always.
  8. Pegasus #2201 Vantage http://www.xtremescaledetail.com/categories/product/294-pgh-2201-vantage-23-chrome-rims-w-tires-4
  9. Thanks again for all the additional comments No secret really. Primed parts with Mr Surfacer 1200. I like to use this primer under Alclad as it has much finer pigments than other brand primer's. If applied correctly no wet sanding is required. Applied Alclad Gloss Black Base then let it dry for approximately an hour then applied 2 very light coats of Alclad Chrome. Let it dry for 24 hours then lightly buff parts with a very soft make up brush and tissue's.
  10. Thanks for all the comments fella's much appreciated. Nah not Alclad, its chrome vinyl.
  11. More pics.
  12. Amt Pontiac Catalina 421SD kit. Paint; As per usual Tamiya TS-14 Black. Interior TS-49 bright red, over-coated with Alclad flat clear Alclad Chrome was applied to chassis frame, suspension parts, engine parts and hydraulic pumps. Trunk/boot was cut open and hinged.Scratch built hydraulic pumps Pegasus 1109 chrome Dz's wheels
  13. This arrived in the mail today. Jevries Monte Carlo LS conversion kit.
  14. Depends on the type of airbrush you have, personally this what I use to apply 2 part urethane and thats all it is used for clear coating only.
  15. Got this in the mail today. A fellow Aussie member Helix, found it a garage sale and asked if I was interested.I said yes and he sent it to me. Thanks Ray
  16. Yeah it does sound good at idle. Not being a smart ass or anything like that. But I rather prefer the sound of a V8 at high revs any day.Especially one built by Nelson Racing Engines. Dont get me wrong, I do give credit to the work that has gone into the engine and its performance figures. But it may be labeled as street registered but that doesnt necessarily make it street legal. It wouldnt last 5 minutes on the street where im from, cops would defect it in an instance of seeing and hearing it. Which is kinda irrelevant as I presume the car will be on a drag strip more than the street. Just saying
  17. Aha, there it is. Really like the styling of this motorcycle build. Good to see it back on the bench Kenn, will be watching and waiting for updates and really look forward to seeing it completed.
  18. Hmmmm, Sounds half decent, even if it is a chook cooker.
  19. Well i have made decision as to what my first build will be. Not that il be starting to build it anytime soon, just a heads up as to what I plan to build. Revell 86 Chevy Monte Carlo SS, and will be fitting a Jevries LS conversion kit.
  20. I find it amazing that this build is totally scratch built, very impressive. Certainly can appreciate the effort and skill involved. Well done.
  21. Take a good look at alot of their inventory, and its easy to recognize most of their smaller parts are direct copies of kit manufactured parts.
