  1. Well done to all you fella's that finished. Some excellent results for 3 day build ups. I stopped working on the Impala for a few days as I wanted to make the most of the very hot days we had last week and got another builds paint job done on. Currently the Impala has everything painted and now its just a matter of applying bmf and start final assembly.Hope to have it completed very soon. Tamiya TS-14 straight from the can finish.
  2. Top job Paul a looks good. Im glad I decided join this CB too, even though I didnt finish. It has helped to get me out of a slump and motivated me to start building again.
  3. Fit's the Bosozoku style well Shane, good job Well fella's judging by tomorrow's weather report,it aint going to be any better than it was today So consider me a non-finish'er for the this CB I will post the Impala Under Glass when completed, which should hopefully be by the end of the week. Keep at it ,hope you all get your builds done and look foward to seeing them.
  4. Good work by all, everyone seems to be progressing well. I got the primer on the body wet sanded and is ready for paint also have all other parts mounted and ready for primer and paint. But Im currently at a stand still at the moment, had some rain here this morning and now its to humid to paint. Hope tomorrow is a better day for painting. So I dont think my build will be finished within the 3 day time frame, but il keep posting progress as it happens.
  5. Jeeze Kyle your on fire, looks like your just about done.
  6. WOW ! you guys are cruising along. Paint job looks good Rob,not bad for straight out the can.I agree with you about tamiya paints. They are my prefered choice too Kyle and Charles your builds are progressing well. I got a bit side tracked with non model related stuff. But body has been prep sanded and currently soaking in dishwashing detergent, will get some primer on it after tea then let it dry overnight. Whilst the body drys il get evrything else prep'd and start some sub assemblies.Going be a late night need to catch up on lost time, and get everything ready for paint tomorrow. Keep at it fella's
  7. Paul the body of your build looks real nice ,clean and shiny for sure. Got the wheels temporarily mounted and ride height set Now onto the prep work.
  8. All-righty then, time to get started. Inspiration for my build Over view of parts etc Going to start with adapting the pegasus wheels to kit parts, then lower it a bit. Once thats done il clean up and prep the body for a prime, which should be a good start to the day. Will post some mock up pics after the ride height is set.
  9. Airbags maybe ?? Even then if it dont rise much,I wouldnt go anywhere near a speed hump with a ride slammed that much
  10. Very nice build Erik. Top job on the body work, smooth as.
  11. Hey Virgil, Count me in, as I think this will help get me out of a building slump im in. I will be building a Revell 62 Impala pretty much box stock. Only thing is il be a day ahead of you guys.So il be starting tomorrow.
  12. The amount and quality of the detail work on that engine is insane.
  13. Hey Mike, Good to see you post one of your builds. The bike looks excellent from where im sitting, very clean build. Last pic gives the illusion of realism for sure.
  14. Good work on both builds mate.
  15. Im dropping out of this CBP. Lost interest in building the Torino,so its back in the box.
  16. No offence taken Harry, I realise you are just trying to point out that lighting is the most important aspect of shooting quality pics.
  17. Here is a basic table top set up I use. Just a large piece of white poster board and few A4 sheets.
  18. Excellent combo, very well thought out and cleanly built. Skeleton on the chopper is way cool
  19. Not my build, but thought it might relate to the topic. This model was built by Haz on TPB forum.
  20. Thanks for the comments about my pics Tony and Gregg I think it would still work Virgil. Experimentation is the go. Thanks Rob.Hope too see your results soon from trying out reflective style pics. I mostly have the exposure set to auto, but ocassionally i go manual and set it to ISO 100 or 200. Too much exposure can affect the amount and depth of the reflection.
