Easy. Select the pic in your album you want to post. Next screen will show your pic with 4 links beside it, one of those (usually the second one) will say DIRECT on it. If you click on the space with the link on it then it says "COPIED". Bring up the forum area where you would post up a thread and in the editing area there will be a picture icon. Click on that icon and a window will pop up to paste the URL you copied earlier from Photobucket. Hit ok and you're done. Alternatively, you can also manually enter the link by typing [ IMG ] with no spaces inside followed by the URL link for the pic and after it [ / IMG ] with no spaces. Make sure the link ends in .jpg .gif or .bmp otherwise it won't display correctly, and make sure the pic is set to Public in Photobucket. Simple stuff.

I've been through several of the builds on here and have only seen two instances where this decal was ever used, and they are on different areas of the engine bay. I would like to know the correct location of the rectangular decal that goes in the engine bay on the left side facing the front of the car. Can anyone help?

By just looking at the car body pics here on the last page, you made me go back through your entire thread and read it.... Out.... freaking.... STANDING. Subscribed.

Not a bad idea, but I don't have that much storage space for all my models, hence why I transferred all my kits to individual Ziploc bags for filing away and sorting ease. And since I didn't want to risk damaging the decals inside those, I seal the instructions and decals in a separate ziploc bag. It keeps them flat and available. Although an album is looking more and more like a great idea. To leaf through a book to find a decal you want, right on the spot...

Yup. I was going to suggest emery boards from either WalMart or nail salons are great to have, both in metal and foam board. Get different grits and their shape makes them so easy to use.

It's the Future! - 1982 DMC Delorean Time Machine - B.T.T.F.
Drake69 replied to Drake69's topic in Model Cars
Nope. The model comes straight out of the box with that color and texture. I think it's the coolest effect for a non-painted model car out there. Oh I'm sure they have. I have another one I'm planning to make that way anyway! Thanks again everyone!- 37 replies

Also, would love to see some of the Chevy Monza kits I missed during the 70's, with the option of either stock or "street". A few Mustang II's and a Cosworth Vega would be nice (kinda back to retro 70's theme...) An AMT 70's Dodge Van, along with more of the other fancier vans of that time like the offroader and "Convoy" vans. And there definitely needs to be a hearse, Ecto-1 is good but a plain jane Caddy hearse cna be built up in so many ways. And although I like the brand cars, I am so sick of seeing constant new reissues of Mustangs all the time. I know the companies make the kits that sell, but we have enough '60s ~ '70s era fastbacks on the shelf now, don't we? Can't you just focus on producing a DECENT '71 Mach 1 instead?

'77 Custom Chevy Van

Putting decals on, what should I do here? BMF the top of the decal across the roof trim like the original artwork? Or. leave it completely alone? Poor Artoo met with a slight accident and I lost that little corner of the image... grrrr. -
I'm currently working on a Star Wars Chevy Van where I printed off my own decals, and I would like to know how to handle this situation... The image had to be printed on white decal paper to allow for Luke and Leia's white outfits to print, and now it has a ghosting border around the decal that contrasts with the dark paint. Since I don't have an airbrush or knowledge of the use thereof, what can I do to try and "blend" the decal more into the paint? Is there a way to cover it somehow without spraying anything on the body and risk losing all my work? Thoughts?

^^^ LOL! Ok, back on it! Trim is on... Grill and rear bumper painted... And a better shot of the interior... I love fabric and vinyl spray paint. It makes things so much easier... The only real problem with this kit is all the plastic flash you have to cut away and clean up before you can do anything. I know it's a repop, but I'm serious. This kit had more flash covering it than Dale Arden's ever seen (I'll give the younger guys a chance to research what that means... ). And the chrome tree looked like someone took a bath in it. I had to trim, shave, and smooth away as much as I could and still be usable, and so much of the chrome was chipped away from the bumpers that they looked awful. I finally decided that the bumpers would just be Blazing Black, and now it actually looks nicer than all chrome! -
Awesome build, and the teardrop is a nice touch!

Although I haven't seen this kit yet, I'm pretty sure I know what your problem is. You talk about the radiator support being too far forward, and also the dash (and probably the entire interior for that matter...) are also too far forward. This means that something in the rear is not allowing the tub to sit flush in the back, which is pushing everything forward. Now, since the tub has to be assembled with 10 different pieces, it's a good bet that something is not lined up correctly between them. Also, according to an article in another magazine (Google Revell '65 Chevy Impala Foose), there are no sizeable locator tabs in the body to tell you how it's supposed to go in. That coupled with unclear instructions for those parts and you get an idea of where this is going. However, I've found that it's often the door panels and dashboard not aligning correctly that causes problems like this.
