  1. That's right I read where they are going to drop all the paper work and just reach into your wallet and take what they want... OH wait.... that's what they're doing now!
  2. I just would like in reissues, where there are holes meant to be cut out in a hood, they would stop making the groove to scribe out to open this area up. It seems to always telegraph thru and scars the underhood detail like bracing. I also don;t know of too many modelers who need any help in cutting a hole in a plastic model
  3. Just finished a trade with Chuck Naylor (RATNASTY) on the forum. Excellent trader and will trade again. The Resin kits and decals he provides are top notch stuff.
  4. Check Amazon, they might have it and you can possibly get it by subscription, shipped to your door!
  5. Hands down on the pressure pot. If you can't go that route, some way of vibrating the mold would help. I used a pad sander that vibrated pretty good and helped.
  6. All you have to do is look at Congress and see where the attitude starts. I like to call it " trickle-down dishonesty"
  7. "How is this for food for thought..............want to clear this whole mess up? Why didn't Shep offer to post up a handful of CLEAR photos of the body he is making available?" How is this? Maybe he feels he has nothing to prove? "Since Scott and I are the most familiar with the body he mastered (and I cast) I am sure one of us would quickly point out if it was indeed different." You are kidding, right? The person that created the item and the person that casts the item are going to be impartial? The only one that started this "mess" is Scott ,by showing a photo, and making an accusation. Scott got some good advice early on about the disappointment of someone possibly copying his work. Since Scott and I are the most familiar with the body he mastered (and I cast) I am sure one of us would quickly point out if it was indeed different..
  8. I can't believe it! An iconic car and all the google pics haven't a decent pic of the engine? I looked and nothing. I looked at pics I have of the Malco gasser and it appears regular type radiator hoses weren't used?
  9. Yes! I have this in the pile, but I don't know if it will be built stock
  10. The title of this thread is ... well .... weird ? Maybe aromas? 'jus sayin'
  11. I guess that was my point. Nobody has the rights to creativity as this hobby's various forums has shown. It still doesn't give a pass to outright copying though.
  12. I thought you put that on your Charger.... Miami Vice-Grip...
  13. I read an article on a correct 1:1 resto and that stated that most chevy trucks with wood beds were painted black.
  14. As this and other forums have shown, there are plenty of competent modelers who do extremely incredible work. It would not be beyond the possibility that someone else could have scratchbuilt/kitbashed a Ford Fairmont body. A while back, someone on this very forum created a reasonably competent Fairmont from a '65 GTO.
  15. AWESOME WORK!! Those have to be the biggest wheel tubs in the world
  16. Now THAT really clears it up!! Can you do a photo overlay
  17. You should get an order of guardianship for your Father. He will be interviewed and judged disabled and you may be awarded that. At any rate, you can only resolve this thru the court system. I did something similar with my Dad, but you'll need an attorney most likely.
  18. Really nice build -up of the '60 Bonneville. I've heard all the comments about the roof, but that side by side of the them really clears it up for me. It's a shame that Trumpeter doesn't run the test shots or advanced views through the various forums and get feedback. Wonder if the roof could be corrected in place. Seems a waste to trash a '59-'60 chevy
  19. Try some silicone rubber. Don't know where you'll find it though except for some bakeware. Also I don't think super glue sticks to some ABS plastics.
  20. YUP! Praise the Lord and pass the model kits
  21. If you don't see it ASK! You never know. Nascar kits have some fine donor parts like the rear end and suspension,Some of the rollbar/cage assembly and a workable motor. At 10c a kit I'd be all over that And you guys that dread goin' shoppin' with the little lady... I go with my GF AND my 80 YO aunt to thrift stores. besides car kits which we all have more than we'll ever build you never know what you'll find you can actually use.
  22. Spectacular!! Nice fade paint
  23. Actually that is probably the way I'll go on at least one of them. For a curbside, they are pretty good.
  24. Cameron: perhaps, I shake when considering parting out a E series kit Bill: I don't know, but they are older made models. In the instructions I have they talk about the '90's, a 3.6 flat 6 and a full time 4 wheel drive. I don't have the know that some of you have about Porsche.
  25. Fujimi makes some beautiful Porsche kits of the Carrera 4 I have one and saw two others. These are curbsides, Has anyone of you kit bashed them into full detail? Thanks
