  1. The frame /floor pan looks very close to the article on the Malco gasser in Car Craft form back then.
  2. "sticks & stones" is easier to remember though.
  3. ">Check out Gio at AF forums. I seem to have misplaced my secret decoder ring. could you clarify please?" The person that produced the P.E. sets is Gio on the site Automotive forums.com.
  4. That is pure genius. I'll add take Paypal also. I don't mind buying aftermarket stuff, I just don't want to have to go on a safari for it.
  5. I've been using epoxy for years and store mine in the 'frig to lengthen it's shelf life. When I take them out I set the bottles in HOT water and it thins them out nicely. I only use 30 minute set type though. I've also noticed that this speeds up the cure considerably, can't imagine what that would do to the 5 minute set type. BTW, I googled thinning epoxy and came up with a plethora of ways to thin the stuff.
  6. I picked up a couple of sets of those a few months ago. Got the engine cooling fins/cylinders and the 356 upgrade parts. Some of the nicest P.E I've seen. Still haven't tried to put them together though... Looks intimidating No I don't know if they are still available. Check out Gio at AF forums.
  7. Thank you. I think I'll look for those decals. I have a pile of F1 and anyway to get some variety is good with me.
  8. Revell does. I believe it's in the box with the yellow car with blower sticking out.
  9. I'd do a '69 Biscayne. There was a COPO 427 option that I've always wanted to build.
  10. Very nice build. What did you do to backdate it? Is it just the decals or was this car yellow?
  11. Someone made a 4-door Ford in resin. don't remember who though. I think it was a '63.
  12. I'll be there with even MORE stuff!!
  13. "As far as sales go. How well did the Missing Link 70 Charger conversion sell? I think that kit would sell better than a 69 Charger 500. That is just my opinion thou" It sold out . I was told I received the last one.
  14. Some tips for using water-based acrylics. They brush well using some of the additives for them such as flow aid and retarders. These are usually found in the arts section at Hobby lobby. Liquitex is one brand I've used and natural hair brushes will swell using those. I recommend synthetic hair brushes. The additives work well when spraying them also.
  15. Automotiveforums.com ?
  16. I suggest you check out Automotive Forums internet group. There you will find build after build of 1/12th and other scales of F1 models.
  17. Not trying to hose you here, But if you didn't know about styrene, I'd say a 10. Your playing a guessing game here. No one knows your skill level or if you have even built a model car. Why not give a little insight as to where your at in building model cars, or any models Fair enough?
  18. I guess if you were going to name this car how about "Survivor" Good show so far!
  19. I'll have to try that mpc body with the AMT mopar parts. Good Idea!!
  20. I did the MPC top to the Revell body years ago but my aim was a little off and it came out with a little chop( roof rake). Later on I grafted the front fenders to the Revell Daytona . It's doable, but the side marker lights are hard to keep. Wish it weren't so painful to post pics here
  21. Bob does Chrome now too? So whose picking me up at the Toledo airport?
  22. How does one get to the FB Scale Resin page. I recently joined FB and really don't know my way around it(nothing new ) ?
  23. What a shock, mixing THREE different brands of paint and getting the results you got. Get some paint stripper(see pinned topic about strippers) and start all over. Hope it all goes well next time.
  24. That '63 vette with the fastback top removed gives me the idea that a large airplane canopy might fit it!
  25. Looks good Chuck!! You've got a few more to do!
